Good morning, friends, and welcome to my blog. It is another beautiful Saturday to make my entry. Our farming system has its benefits. The farming system improvement today is a function of how best we advance from the subsistence stages.
Organic Farming:
We have to know that both types of farming systems are good but come with varying disadvantages. Like the word organic, it symbolizes nature. Natural method of farming operations without synthetic colourations.
An organic farming system is a method that entails that we use natural ways of farm production. This farm production includes crop and livestock production. This is the exclusivity of natural means of executing our farm processes.
Natural or organic farming would suggest that we use manures like poultry and animal droppings in place of fertilizers, use. Neem oil and garlic sprays as means of pest control instead of pesticides, natural use seedlings that are not GMOs.
With this, we have to note that the organic farming system helps to consider the health status of our soil by naturally bringing balance to it and also promoting biodiversity.
Conventional Farming:
The conventional farming system is a complete contrast to what we have in the organic farming system. This is a farming system that depends on the use of chemicals and additives to carry out full operational yield. Unlike the use of natural manures, conventional farming uses fertilizers in place. It uses pesticides, unlike other natural means of pest control.
This is where the irrigation system is deployed for use, the use of GMO seedlings, and other advanced technological operations. As I mentioned earlier about organic farming, conventional farming focuses on high-yield performance but at the detriment of the environment and health.
Organic Farming Impact on Soil:
Natural methods are usually the best in what we do, and this isn't an exception. When we embark on a natural system of farming, it completely adds a good impact on the soil by improving its texture/structure, fertility, and biodiversities. Practices like cover cropping, crop rotation, and mix farming are examples of this.
It helps to improve the microbial activities in the soil that help them speed up decomposition for plant final uptake. It aids water retention and the overall use of nutrients balancing in the soil. The use of some natural farm practices is hence the engineers of such benefits we get.
Conventional Farming Impact on Soil:
This is an artificial method that relies. On the use of chemicals to achieve spil impact positively. In achieving a positive impact by increasing soil fertility, it creates other impending problems. This use of chemicals, be it in fertilizer use or pesticides, creates more problems by degrading the soil.
We can not achieve the same natural means of having microbial activities, but rather, it creates an imbalance from time to time when it is used. Conventional methods disrupt soil textures and structures and make them more susceptible to erosion.

Organic farming type has the answer. It is a farmito ng system with long-term soil sustainability. It is a farming systemprotectsaturally allowsthe that are done the right way.
The organic system of farming like crop rotation, mixed farming, and the use of cover crops are better ways of allowing the soil to rejuvenate and fallow. It creates soil healththeirlancing and as well protect the soil from the direct impact of climate effects.
Organic farming system may be labour intensive with commensurate reduced yield size, but they promote and prioritize environmental and biodiversities as its main objective.
The use of conventional methods is usually short-term solutions to yield performance. The use of synthetic fertilizers that help boost soil fertility that hence provides for our crops that churns out greater yield.
The use of chemicals in the form of pesticides helps reduce crop challenges for better growth. Juat a matter of time, our crops are all out because of reduced attacks from predators.
The use of GMO crops is also one good one-way of increasing crop yield. These seedlings are improved beyond their usual harvest time for use.
The use of irrigation systems for all year-round farming systems aligns with the conventional farming idealogy. The use of other farm machineries and tools as well.
Both farming system may not be completely ruled out, but we have to always create a use balance between them where both environment and yield performance are ensured.

MODs Comment/Recommendation:
Thank you very much for participating in the contest. You have very nicely discussed the difference between organic farming and conventional farming. I agree with you that organic farming is good for maintaining soil quality and soil health. But farmers use conventional farming in hopes of higher yields. You have presented it very well. Wish you well.
