INTRODUCTION
Compliments of the season, beautiful members of steem-Agro, I'm always looking forward to be here. Our lives in this particular community is all about agriculture and today, we will be showing our creativity as encouraged by @ahsansharif to draw an axe. So let's get down to it.
MY MATERIALS FOR DRAWING
• My drawing book
• My HB pencil
• My eraser
STEPS IN DRAWING AN AXE
• My first step was drawing two vertical lines tho in a diagonal way.
• My second step was joining the line together at the ending, then I drew the head of the axe. I got this by drawing a kind of rectangle and slanting it a bit. All these I did in a light way, not tracing or forcing the pencil.
• In my third step, since I had made the firmer step light, I had to now trace it for it to be deeper and fine out well.
• My last step was to make sketches in some places in my axe and also add my username.
An Axe and it's uses
An Axe is a tool that has a head that is made up of iron and the handle is made up of wood tho sometimes its handle can be made up of iron. It is used in the farm and can also be used in different places like in the mining industry.
The common uses of axe are:
• An axe is used for felling trees or cutting wood
• It is used for splitting timber
• An axe can be used to breakup rocks.
• It is used for dressing logs for timber construction
• It can be used for chopping, splitting, chipping and piercing.
TYPES OF AXES
• Felling axe: This is the most common type of axe. It is used to fell and chop logs of wood.
• A pick axe: It is used for gardening, and also for breaking up hard soil and rocks.
• Tactical Axe: Apart from being used for chopping, it can also be used as a shovel or a hammer. It can do multiple task from the way it is designed.
• Double bit axe: This axe comes with two heads,
One, blunt and the other, sharp. The sharp one is used to chop wood or fell trees while the blunt one is used to cut wood into small pieces for the fire. Due to its double heads, it is very heavy and it is not easily carried about.
MAINTENANCE OF YOUR AXE
• Always keep your axe dry and clean from dirt after using it for the day.
• Frequently oil your axe for it to serve you well.
• Sharpen your axe from time to time to avoid being totally blunt.
• Avoid keeping your axe in the rain to avoid it rusting, store it in a dry place.
• Always make sure the handle of your axe isn't loose to avoid accident. If the handle needs changing, change it.
