Palm produce is one of the major cash crop in westen part of africa, not just known for exporting goods but of it relevant health benefit,which compromise of different health component,two kinds of oil are extracted from palm fruit: palm oil and palm kernel oil. Palm oil is extracted from the fibrous flesh surrounding the inner kernel.

In its virgin state, this oil is red in color. At this point, it is full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It is used as a culinary ingredient in many African dishes. It can be used in soups and sauce and production of most washing soaps.The primary unit of production of the palm oil industry is the farm where the oil palm tree is cultivated to produce palm fruits. There are also wild groves of oil palm. The farm units are of different sizes and may be classified as small, medium, and large-scale farming.
The wild groves, as the name implies, grow untended in the forest. They are found in clusters and are mainly the result of natural seed,Palm oil is rich in carotenoids, (pigments found in plants and animals) from which it derives its deep red colour, and the major component of its glycerides is the saturated fatty acid palmitic; however it is a viscous semi-solid, even at tropical content, and a solid fat in temperate climates.Because of its economic importance as an high-yielding source of edible and lotion oil, the oil palm is now grown as a plantation crop in most countries with high rainfall (minimum 1 600 mm/yr)

It branches which is been converted as broom which serves most traditional methods of sweeping and economical activities.

this plant as a whole play a significant role in our society.Based on it's scientific classification,it belongs to the kingdom of. plantain,claid:tracheophytes, monocot,commerlinids,angiosperms. Also it's binomial name known as Elaeis gunieensis.

The bye product of Palm fruit which is red oil is rich in vitamin E,A and k, antioxidants,carotense,lycopene.it can be used in place of liver oil for correcting vitamin A deficiency.futhermore it serve as an antidote.
