Plantain is a type of fruit that looks like a big banana. But it's a bit different,bigger and starchier than a regular banana. People usually cook plantains before eating them, and they're really sweet and flavorful! Though it belongs to the same family with banana which the botanical name is Musa paradisiaca.

One cool thing about plantains is that they come in different stages of ripeness, each with its own unique taste and texture. When they're green, they're firm and starchy, People often cook and eat them like a veggie. When they turn yellow, they're sweeter and make a great snack. And when they're black, they're super sweet and perfect for baking.

You can boil , mash,and fry it, or bake. They're delicious on their own, or you can use them in all sorts of dishes, like porridge. When plantains are ripe, you can peel them and eat them raw. people usually cook them. When you fry them, they turn golden brown and taste really good.
