A goat is an animal which can be used for various purpose, it is a versatile animals kept by humans. It serves as a source of food and it has environmental benefits, it is an excellent choice for farming and agriculture.

Goat is a source of milk. Goat milk is a diary product that is consumed all over the world and in countries were cow milk is not common.

This milk which is gotten from goats has various benefits and they include;

• Goat milk is easily digestible, it contains smaller amount of fat and it contains less lactose than cow milk which makes it easy for people who are allergic to lactose to digest.

• It keeps the bone healthy because it contains essential nutrients like calcium, magnesium and vitamin A.

• it is used to produce other products like cheese, yogurts, and some skincare products.

Most people don’t realize that goats are intelligent animals.

Goats have the ability to Recognize their owner's face and voice.

They can respond to names just like other pets do, if they are trained properly.

They have the ability to express their emotions through bleating and can show happiness and stress depending on their environment.

Goats are better kept together, a goat which is kept alone can get depressed.

Goats Are Eco-Friendly & Useful

Some farmers send their goats to graze their land rather than using machines, they eat up dry grass which can cause wildfires when fuel is added, they are good for sustainable farming because they can eat shrubs and unwanted vegetables.

Goats Are easily Maintained and adaptable

Goats require lesser care than other animals because they can survive in harsh conditions, eat variety of food and they require less space.

Although goats are mainly kept for farming some people still raise them as pets. Species like Pygmy Goat or Nigerian Dwarf Goat can be trained as pets and they are popular because they can be trained to walk on a leash, they require lesser amount of food and space.

Goats require companionship, raring at least two together is better than raring one alone.

Goats are one of the most useful domestic animals and are good choice for farming and livestock. They are friendly and eco-friendly animals which should be recognized more by the world.
