Crop rotation helps in restoring lots nutrients of the soil as first the crop plants use up all the nitrogen in the soil . to restore the nitrogen the farmers plant a leguminous plant which contains bacteria which changes the atmospheric nitrogen in usable nitrogen compounds than being used up by the crop plants. thus this helps in restoring the lots nutrients of the land.source

Diversifying crop rotation increases quantity and quality of food production, it also reduces net greenhouse gas emissions and improves soil health and Nature Communications, crop rotation can as well increase the number of beneficial bacteria in the soil and reduce the number of pathogenic microorganisms in the soil also.
