Warm greetings from nigeria!

am delight to participate in a contest host by @ninapenda am a great fan of healthy food so i see this contest as a very important topic.

• We worry that our food would run out before we get replacement. What do you do during this time?

Every living being needs food to survive and also need to eat healthy food, we work everyday and one of the most important reasons why we work is to put food on our tables and when we are running out food stuff we worry.

I worry must of the time when i notice am getting low on food stuff in a mans life i think not having what to eat is something we should not take lightly, because this can cause a serious health issues, so this is what do i make sure i spare some money no matter how hard it is so i dont get stranded in times like this i prepare i portion i can finish to avoid wasting it so the foodstuff will last longer.

• Do you have an alternative in supplying food in your house other than buying from the local market?

going to the local market to get food stuff is cheaper in my country (Nigeria) you can get things in a Fair price but aside from that i seize every opportunity i get to plant and experiment different kind of vegetable in my garden for example i have pepper, tomato, ginger, pumpkin and okra in my garden most of the things i plant like pepper ginger and tomatoes i get seeds from the one i bought in the local market this garden has help me save alot of money and when i eat veggies planted by me i can boldly call it healthy because its fertilizer free.

• Have you ever thought of having a mini farm or do you have a mini farm? What types of crops would you plant there and do you think it would be an added advantage to you?

Yes a long time ago i thought about it and concluded it would be a great idea so i ventured into it i have a farm were i plant cassava this one is different from my home garden i harvest and process my cassava at home i make garri and fufu i dont buy it, considering the high cost of garri now this has helped me channel the money am supposed to use in buying garri into other important things, if i should have another mini farm i will love plant plantain because it is another food with great health benefit but now very expensive in the local market.

Am inviting @eliany @dequeen @beevicsam to join this contest.

Congratulations!

Rice is one of the essential products for many countries luckily it grows easily when people look after their fields. I have not heard about cassava before, we do not have in supermarket, but it seems to be the main carbohydrates in tropical countries. I am glad that you are able to plant and harvest it in your garden.
