Hello friends this is my post today
Did you ever plant any crop? If yes, then tell us the experience you had and what the result was, and if no, then tell us your plans for planting a crop. |

Yes, I have planted many crops; yam is a crop that grows well in my areas, and I like to share how we used to plant it.
When you want to plant yam, you need money to pay your workers and buy some farm tools. You will start by providing land, buying it, or borrowing the land, then anyhow, the land will be bushy, so you need to clear it, or you higher someone and pay the person. Then you will rake the farm and park the grass together and burn it, make you burn the grass inside the farm because it is fertilizer, it will the land fertilize. After parking it then, you will have to make a mounce, which will be bigger than a cassava mounce. If you have hired a person to make money for, you will be the one to cook for the person.
The person will make one ounce for you fifty naira because the mounce is for yam, not for any other crops, so after making the mounce, you go to the market and buy yam seedlings so that you can plant it on the farm you can plant three seedlings in fifty naira mounce. Planting yam on the farm was what I was happy to do because I wanted to learn about farming the crop. During the rainy season, we weed our farms at least two times.
Then inside the two times that you will weed your farm, one will be May to June and the other one will be August when there will be too much rain, you can still plant other crops like maze, okra, cassava, etc why I will not mention beans among this following crops is that beans use to damage any plant closed to it. After spraying the farm, then Will wait until mid-December before you harvest; before you harvest, you need to do a yam band where the yam will stay; it is made with palm leaf.
