GREENHOUSE

A typical greenhouse is a secluded place or structure made of transparent or materials, such as glass or plastic, that allows sunlight to enter and warm the interior. This warmth creates an environment suitable for plant growth; it allows farmers to grow a wide range of crops year-round, regardless of the outside weather conditions. It is not applicable to farmers only, as gardeners also make use of it and it could be built in different shapes and sizes.

TYPES OF GREENHOUSES

There are several types of greenhouses and it includes:

  1. Glass Greenhouses: These are traditional greenhouses made with glass panels. They are durable and provide excellent light transmission.
  2. Plastic Greenhouses: These are made with plastic panels, such as polyethylene or polypropylene. They are less expensive than glass greenhouses and provide good light transmission.
  3. Geodesic Dome Greenhouses: These are dome-shaped greenhouses made with metal or PVC pipes. They are covered with plastic panels and they provide excellent light transmission while being energy-efficient
  4. Poly Tunnel Greenhouses: These are greenhouses with tunnel shape and made with plastic panels. They are easy to set up and provide good light transmission.
  5. Cold Frame Greenhouses: These are small, unheated greenhouses used to extend the growing season. They are made with wood or metal frames and covered with glass or plastic panels.
  6. Geodesic Dome Greenhouses: These are dome-shaped greenhouses made with metal or PVC pipes and covered with plastic panels. They provide excellent light transmission and are energy-efficient.

BENEFITS OF A GREENHOUSE IN AGRICULTURE

The benefits of greenhouse in agriculture include the following:

  • Climate Control: Greenhouses provides a controlled climate; this allows the farmers to regulate the temperature, light and humidity levels.
  • Year-Round Production: Greenhouses allow for year-round production of crops, irrespective of the outside atmosphere or weather conditions.
  • Improved Crop Quality: Greenhouses provide optimal growing conditions, leading to yield crops with improved quality and better flavor.
  • Pest and Disease Control: Greenhouses provide an environment free from pests and diseases, thereby reducing the need for pesticides and other chemicals.
  • Increased Yields: Greenhouses provide optimal growing conditions, leading to impressive crop yields both in quality and quantity quality.
  • Water Conservation: Greenhouses makes use advanced irrigation systems, reducing water waste, unnecessary use of water and conserving this valuable resource.
  • Improved Crop Quality: Greenhouses provide optimal growing conditions, leading to yield crops with improved quality and better flavor.
  • Reduced Soil Erosion: Greenhouses reduce soil erosion, as crops are grown in a controlled environment.
  • Increased Profitability: Greenhouses provide a competitive advantage, increasing profitability for farmers and gardeners.
  • Sustainable agriculture: Greenhouses promote sustainable agriculture, reducing the environmental impact of farming and providing a more sustainable food system for the society.

In conclusion, greenhouses are able to provide a controlled and well monitored environment for plants growth. It creates opportunity for farmers and gardeners to produce crops with impressive quality and quantity at any time of the year while reducing any environmental impact of agriculture in the society

Greenhouses are building structures that are made of transparent building materials that make it easier for the inflow of air and control of temperature to create a convenient place to grow plants. The plastic greenhouse seems to be cheaper than the glass because the resources needed in its production are easier to get; it also allows the penetration of the sunlight to growing plants. Good luck.

Sure.
I agree with you, as long as they would serve the same purpose, I might not stress myself looking for glass's. Thanks for reading
