Hello people! While planning to pick up the idea of farming or growing crop, it is essential to be aware of the few basic knowledge . It might not even be advisable to underestimate the tiniest information.
In this post, a bit of seeds and young plants would be mentioned.

3 Causes of Early Crop Growth Damage:

  1. Extreme weather: These include Frost, drought, excessive rain, and sunlight which could damage or kill the emerging seedlings.
  2. Deficiency in nutrients: Lack of essential nutrients needed by plants such as nitrogen, phosphorus, or potassium, can stunt or distort growth of plants
  3. Disease and pests: when crops get attacked by pests and introduce diseases into them, it reduces the quality and quantity of such crops.

5 Importance of Nursery Pots in Plant Early Growth:

  1. It aids optimal root development. Nursery pots provide space for roots to grow well, thereby promoting healthy root systems in plants.
  2. It helps to control the soil quality. Pots allow precise soil composition and management of nutrients.
  3. Nursery pots also aid water regulation. Pots help to regulate water levels by preventing overwatering or underwatering.
  4. It also controls pest and disease control. Isolated pots reduce the risk of pest and disease transmission.
  5. It aids easy transplanting. Using nursery pots facilitate gentle transplanting, minimizing root disturbance and unintended damaging of vital parts in the plant.

3 Differences between Monocotyledon and Dicotyledon Plants:

  1. In Seed Structure : Monocots have one cotyledon (seed leaf), while dicots have two seed leaves
  2. In Stem Structure : Monocots have irregular vascular tissues, while dicots have vascular tissues arranged in rings
  3. In Leaf Venation : Monocots have parallel leaf veins, while dicots have net-like veins.

Examples

Examples Of Monocotyledon Plants:

  1. Wheat (Triticum aestivum)
  2. Corn (Zea mays)
  3. Rice (Oryza sativa)
  4. Sugarcane
  5. Bamboo

Examples of Dicotyledon Plants:

  1. Soybean (Glycine max)
  2. Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum)
  3. Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum
