Hej, if you are still in southern Sweden by bus/ camper or want to head to autumnal Småland, you /are welcome. After such a positive experience with a Swiss couple leaving next week, I am again offering a couple, also with child/ren or women a time out on my forest island - 3,8ha - near Älmeboda.
There is a small pond, stream crossing and playground equipment/playhouse, swing and sandbox on the property. I do not want to accommodate dogs. You can use a pitch or alternatively a small guest cottage (25sqm) and bathroom and kitchen in the house. We can, but do not have to cook together, I also eat meat, preferably wild boar from our own forest. Vegan cuisine I do not want to offer, vegetarian products gladly, in the preparation you would have to participate. As a temporary roommate please only non-smokers! For the realization of your own creative ideas you can use my small workshop or sit around the campfire to relax and enjoy the starry sky - take a look into the past - and count shooting stars. Internet is also available. If you are interested I will show you the surrounding area.
To the village -with good infrastructure- it is 4km, the bathing in the lake is unfortunately cancelled now, there is a swimming pool in Emmaboda, 22km. Within a radius of about 50 km you can reach: Nybro, Växjö, Karlshamn, Rönneby and Karlskrona, to Kalmar/Öland it is 80km, there is the annual Skördemarkt on the last weekend in September.
I am 72 years old and have enjoyed living here for ten years. Professionally I worked in the social sector, like to design and conserve, am interested in people and nature and love my forest island. There is always something to do here, at the same time obligation and possibility to create. Now in the fall I could use more help in the garden clearing beds , trimming shrubs and preparing for next year as well as mowing, scything, shredding or implementing creative projects. You can also participate in preserving and stocking up on fruits, mushrooms and berries. The forest and meadow provide herbs and berries.
