INGREDIENTS:
1 package lemon jelly, divided
3 cups bread mix
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 of cup of buttermilk
1/2 cup of milk
2 eggs
1 cup of sliced almonds
2 tablespoons of hot water
1 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

PREPARATION:
Preheat the oven to 350 °
Reserve a tablespoon of gelatin for garnish
Combine granulated sugar, bread mix and gelatin in medium bowl.
Add the buttermilk, milk and eggs,
Then add 3/4 cup of the almonds
Divide into two greased bread tins
Bake for 45 minutes
Remove and chill for 10 minutes
Unmold and cool on a rack lined with waxed paper
To garnish combine the tablespoon of the gelatin that I reserve with hot water
Let stand for 5 minutes
Add powdered sugar and almond extract
Pour over warm bread
Spread the remaining sliced almonds over the frosting.
Let harden
Store in a closed container
Makes two loaves of bread
