Earlier today, I noticed a nice bonus reward of AKT tokens in my Osmosis Asset balance. Although I expected this bonus reward through the External Incentives through Osmosis Defi platform, I didn't expect it to be 25x++ the amount that was initially committed by AKT Team.
I had to check pool #4 and was surprised to realize that the bonus went ballistic!!!
The distribution timeframe remains the same as 28 epochs. It appears that the AKT portion of my LP token in pools #3 & #4 are earning me the "almost" similar amount as it was staked on-chain!
As a result, my AKT holdings are bringing me dual rewards simply providing it as liquidity on Osmosis. A rough estimate of APY would be around 230%! The breakdown would be 183% in OSMO rewards and 47% in AKT rewards.
The total AKT Bonus reward that will be incentivized for the AKT Osmosis LP is 126,000 tokens. It will be distributed in 28 days. Will it be dumped into the market by the recipients? I can't tell for sure but I can only speak for myself at this point.
IMHO, the best way to utilize this bonus reward in the form of AKT is to stake it back on-chain until the Super Fluid staking takes place. After I built my Osmosis LP, I intended to re-build my AKT on-chain stake and this bonus reward will help me boost my speed for the next 28 epochs. Cheers!!!
I bet that this 126,000 AKT additional incentive will generate more wealth for the whole AKT community. It's a good move by the AKT Team!
