Finally, I got my first FreeVoter Blurt payout! (21% APY)

Firstly, what's Blurt?

Blurt is a blockchain Social Media platform that stands for free speech, liberty, and freedom while rewarding its users in BLURT for posting good content.

Blurt was created as a fork based on a snapshot of the Steem Delegated-Proof-of Stake (DPOS) Graphene blockchain taken in May 2020, and then officially soft-launched on the 4th of July 2020 as a neutral Steem fork.

If you had your Steem account created prior to the snapshot taken in May 2020 then you should have your account carried over to the Blurt blockchain. There's also a high chance that you have some stakes airdropped to your Blurt wallet as well.

It's a curation program that was initiated last month (Nov 2, 2020) which aims to curate quality content in the Blurt social platform. Anyone who has a Blurt account can delegate their blurtpower to the @freevoter account. The Freevoter service distributes 90% of the curation reward to the delegators commensurate to the blurtpower delegated to it.

The payment is sent on a daily basis and looking at what I got, the return is about 21% APY.

Yesterday, I delegated 85k blurtpower and today I received 50 Blurt tokens from the Freevoter service.

I recall that there are people from Hive & Steem who were wondering if there is a service that pays delegators for lending their blurtpower. Actually, there is and I can say the it's legit.

With the current price of Blurt token, it's not wise to sell it this early. After all, it's free money, to begin with. Right now, there's a way to monetize and let it earn passively.
