Turkey bean (Phaseolus coccineus) is a perennial climber, a legume that grows from 2 to 7 meters tall.
The leaves of this bean consist of three large ovate leaflets.
The flowers are in inflorescences on 25 cm to 35 cm long shoots, are 1.5 cm to 3 cm in size and are bright red in color.
The pods are up to 25 cm long, the seeds or the bean itself are kidney-shaped, up to 2.5 cm in size and are brown, red, black and purple in color.
