Tour with me the City of Douala in the Coastal lowlands of the littoral Region in Cameroon and some infrasctructures

Douala has a population of over 4 million people as an industrial town of Cameroon and has access to the Atlantic Ocean with the major port entry to Cameroon .

Some major places in Doual are Deido, New Bell, Bonaberi , Ndokoti , Bonamossadi etc.

One of the greatest grographic feature in Douala is the Estuary. The Bonaberi river connects major rivers from the western highlands like River Noun in the Western Region, Bamenjim Dam and the sanaga river into the Bonaberi river that enters the Atlantic Ocean at the Douala Coast.

Because or these large bodies of water merging into the Bonaberi the bank of the water is too vast and has influenced the nature of the bridge which is 1.2 kilometres long.

Two bridges are constructed across the river which one of recent and both of them carry train lines. Heavy duty trucks also pass over the bridge from Dangote Cement factory just located ajecent to the bridge.

At the western side of the bridge is Bonaberi. The area hosting 90 percent of industries in Cameroon.

One of the most popullar round abouts in Douala is called Ront Point.

After Ront Point you have three major roads entering the city. The one to Bonanjo and New Bell etc , the road to Bonamousadi and the one to Deido and Pk 1 to PK 50 and Yasa then heading to Kribi.

The traffic in Douala is very poor due to poor town planning. The case of Deido Road.

Also tool some time to visit Bessengue just a kilometre from Ront Point in a taxi . some trains in the city may date back 60 years.
