City or Countryside? A Steem Geography Contest Entry

First, big ups to the Steem Geography Community, this is my first post here, and I am excited to begin this journey here with all the wonderful members of this community.

The wonderful @belenguerra has asked us to talk about our preference between a city, and a countryside.

Mine is simple, I will prefer a countryside, now I will proceed to explain why.

First, one would usually want that which one does not have, and almost all my life, I have lived around cities.

From being born in Port Harcourt, an oil-rich city in the southern part of Nigeria, to schooling at Ile-Ife, an ancient town as it likes to be called, but one which is everyday growing into a modern city, especially the campus environment... To living in Lagos, the most populous and definitely the busiest place in Western Africa...

I guess I can say I have had my fill of the city life and its lifestyle. As a result, I would most definitely prefer to settle into a quiet countryside if I am presented with a choice.

With a countryside environment, you get peace, you get tranquillity, you get nature at it's best, and you get to appreciate life more than you probably would in a countryside... And there is space, definitely more space than you would find in a city.

Just imagine living in this beautiful setting, with the birds singing to you every morning. It is like poetry at its best.
