Aquaculture

Ponds in fisheries are artificial ponds, usually in coastal areas, which are filled with water and used as a means of aquaculture. The cultivated animals are aquatic animals, especially fish, shrimp, and shellfish. The term "pond" is usually associated with brackish water or sea water. Pools that contain fresh water are usually called ponds or ponds.
