The "Hintersee" in Berchtesgarden has a very nice Stony Island with 2 trees growing on it that is a very popular destination for photographers like me. I visited this places in July 2019 together with Stefan and Tanja when we were looking for the capercaillie. We didn't find this seldom bird but at least we found this beautiful place and also the lady's-slipper orchid that grows on another place in Berchtesgarden.
This lake is a popular destination for several visitors from Germany and Austria and on a warm and beautiful day you will find a lot of people walking and hiking there.
