HOSPITAL-IS-TOO-FAR

Hi guys i am uty and this is gonna be the first time posting here. There is a plant of so much interest that i will share.

Down here in Nigeria there is a leaf popularly known as hospital-is-too-far, some people call it God's gift ,but i also heard its called catholic vegetable whereas it is scientifially known as "jatropha tajorensis.
The leaf is highly placed here in Nigeria because it nutritional value and other usefulness like :

-Its good source of blood for the human body when taken in
-some parts of Nigeria use it in curing diseases and also midwives normally use it during a complicated child birth.
-And like the name implies hospital-is-too-far meaning when you take it, it keeps you away from the hospital
and a whole lots of benefits to mention.
But am writing about this leaf because of what it did to me. I was sent to get this leaf and during the process the leaves touched my skin and the parts that were being touched started irritating and itching me before i knew my skin i had huge bumps on my body, God i wished my body would just jump out of my skin.And the bumps lasted for 2-3 days. Meanwhile i also heard that it cures blisters and skin infections and am surprised at that.

I took a shot of the tree and was too scared to go close to get a picture of the main leaf, maybe i will go with gloves and overall next time.
