Fathers' day today. Most times, alot of people do not see the relevance of the father to the upbringing of a child. Fathers are in most cases relegated due to the fact that mothers are always close to their children.
Comparatively, mothers' day is treated with much attention than fathers' day. Yes! We should understand that both are of relevance but depending on what either of them has done for you will tell which one is to be celebrated well.
Fathers are fathers and the role makes most men not that close to their children. This makes the love of the child very different for both of them. Some fathers bath their wards, cook, send wards to school, pay their school fees. Others only provide house keeping money and due to how tasking their work is, they do not stay at home often. But is it a point to say they are of no relevance? Certainly No!
Some have their fathers alive, some are dead. On occasions like this, we then see how people value their fathers. It is irrefutable that fathers are caring, loving, ensures discipline in the house and ensures that the house has eaten always.
When I was young, and as a Christian, on fathers' day, I often wish God a happy father's day. This is because, he is the father of all fathers. This hasn't changed anyway. But most people forget this also.

Again, I usually liked playing in the evening and often comes home very dirty. When I decide to sleep with my dirty self, my father will always call me and talk to me. When I prove to be stubborn, he then disciplines me. I thought he didn't like me then. But going up, I learnt a lot from what he usually did. He was teaching me to be clean, so that in future I will be a neat person. He will conclude by saying "cleanliness is next to godliness"
He often advised me to always respect everybody I came across. He was too particular with that, and this has helped me alot. During Christmas festivities, he will send the whole family out to have a good time. He always made us happy.
Every man is a father. This is because, I call every man of my father's age as daddy. Same as I call my father. I wish every father a happy father's day and all potential fathers. I ask for long life, favour, prosperity, strength for you all. Mr. Effah Badu Isaac, I value you alot. To all men on this platform, I wish you well and wish you the strength to steem on always.
