Hello fellow Steemians of this community, I greet you all and I hope the weekend is favouring us all?

INTRODUCTION

This post is a diary of my Saturday’s activities, and I am well pleased sharing it with my friends as I also read interesting and quality posts from them.

MORNING

As we all know, Saturday happens to be one of the days of the weekend so I needed to have enough sleep in order to recover from the week’s stress; for that matter, I needed not to wake up as early as I used to during the week days. I woke up at around 7:47am, said my morning prayer and went out and brushed my teeth after which I prepared my animals food and fed them. When the were done eating the feed, I gave them water and they drunk after which dad asked me to take one of the sheep to market to be sold because there were lots of theft cases ongoing in our neighborhood, so be on a safer side and not prey of such inhuman acts, we decided to sell that particular sheep.

When I was taking the sheep to the market, lots of people were stopping me but I refused to stop because I knew they were not going to buy it at my preferred price so I proceeded to were all the marketing were going on. When I arrived there, lots of started calling me bring it to them so that they, but others also rushed on me because the actually needed it. When the first person approached me and asked of the price, I mentioned to him but he tried to cheat me by reducing my said price to a very lower price for which bargained for a very time without coming to a mutual consensus. When he had left, about three other buyers also approached me, but still to no vain. I was getting tired at the place so I called my dad so that we could reduce the price a little so that I could get a buyer, I did that and finally got someone who bought it at a price, even though it didn’t please me, but it was something to take home with an amount of which I think we profited. I took my bike and left for home after everything was settled to attend a funeral.

ATTENDING A FUNERAL

When I got home, I took my bath, picked my trombone mouthpiece and left for the funeral. I got there late, by then my colleagues had already played the first part of the morning section; I arrived there and they had already started the burial mass so I waited somewhere until the mass was over then I joined my friends to play for the final burial.

After the burial, there were a lot of displays by various groups which included our brass band and some other cultural groups including the traditional war dance.

Our brass band in action

Our brass band activity at the funeral grounds came to around 4:00pm, and our refreshment was provided, after which we departed from the place. We couldn’t have gone home because there were others members of our brass band group waiting for us to return so that could rehearse, so we went there straight and had a short rehearsal before we then departed to our various homes.
