Sometimes we want to cover everything. We try to do many things at the same time, because we want to quickly achieve all our goals, or because we want to stand out from the rest, or simply because, as the grandparents say, “we want to be the only one in everything”.
The only problem with “wanting to do everything at once” is that in the end you don't end up doing anything. And how to do it? We only have two arms, one mind, and two feet that, like every human body, exhausts, gets stressed, collapses, and finally collapses. That is why it is very common for all those who plan to lead a life with too many things in between, end up collapsing together with everything they could not achieve.
Ambition leads us to make blunders. We want to do many things, go to the GYM, study, have a partner, be chefs, taxi drivers, writers, cyclists, footballers, and since the doubt wins us, we go through all the options at once. It's like going to an ice cream parlor, for example, and being undecided between the 18 flavors in the display case. So you say:
-I want an ice cream of all 18 flavors.
Obviously you can't, because it will be such a big basket that it will end up falling down. But, stubbornness was born for the insecure, and so the girl hands you your 18-serving ice cream on a cookie with a thin cone shape. And shortly after leaving the store, because the ice cream falls out and you lose both your money and your chance to enjoy 18 different flavors.
The same happens with the person who tries to cover too many things at once, and this is more visible at work, where the desire always ends up winning the game for anyone. It is also linked to behavior. If a person is a general manager of a company and there is a free position for vice president, then he or she will think that this position should be theirs, but since they are very good, they must also keep their position as managers.
In short, they try to ignore other people who can also perform optimally, and each time a new job promotion arises, they must be the first to obtain it, because no one exceeds or equals their qualities...
The consequence of covering many things at once is that in the end you will end up as 18 flavors ice cream and its buyer, that is, you will be left with nothing. When we cross several roads with different directions, we will never reach our destination. That is why it is worthwhile to just focus on a goal, a purpose, or an idea, and then, over time, develop the others.
"TIME" A very important word when it comes to occupations. If we use it to our advantage, organizing it in our day-to-day life, scheduling the different tasks that we must do and investing it in a healthier way, we will see positive results in our lives.
The saying goes: he who covers a lot does not squeeze much. And I would add: "live life one step at a time"
