Time, for human beings, is an abstract concept. People use it as a physical measure to gauge the length of the interval between the processes of material movement or the occurrence of events. Although theoretically, time is fair to everyone, but people themselves often have the illusion of time, feeling that it sometimes passes quickly and sometimes slowly.
When we were young, we often used the phrase "happy times are always short", and looking back on it from memory it seems to be true that when we do something of interest, time passes as quickly as a white horse, and when we encounter something unhappy, it seems to be like years. And as we grow older, people gradually feel that, as we get older, time seems to be shortened as well, passing more quickly.
This issue about time perception has actually been studied by numerous scientists in the 19th century. The French philosopher Bergson once divided time into two kinds: subjective time and objective time, where objective time is our natural time, and subjective time refers to people's mental time. He believed that measurable time is an artificial concept, and that time is elastic in people's mind, and the deeper you go into consciousness, the bigger the gap between competent time and objective time will be.
Biologists have also divided the timing capacity of our brain into three "domains": the physiological rhythm "domain" that controls the 24-hour cycle of sleep and wakefulness; the millisecond timing "domain" that is responsible for the precise calculation of motor tasks "In between them is the interval timing "domain" that perceives the passage of time. Neuroscientists have studied for a long time and found that interval timing is a very complex "coincidental wave detection" pattern, that is, our brain relies on interval timing domain somewhere in the neurons to record people's activities, and then according to the brain waves generated by the talk to check the wave recognition, roughly calculate the estimated value of the passage of time. So, the neuronal signaling and brainwave generation is the variable that affects this assessment, as we know, the dopamine system of the human brain, will somehow change the speed of the subjective clock in the body.
And for why the perception of time will be biased when you get older, some researchers speculate that it may be because as the body ages, the speed of neural impulses will decrease, which leads to our perception of time slows down and the passage of time in the outside world accelerates.
When we are young we always want to grow up quickly, but when we really grow up, but also lament the passage of time, want to keep time. Although, for human beings, the tail of time is difficult to touch, but we can grasp the immediate, enjoy the time brought by the give and take the challenge, so that the fearful sense of confusion will be washed away a lot.
Tergantung kita mempergunakan waktu,,
