Greetings Steemians!

IMG_20200910_070904.jpgWith the gorgeous clouds.

How are you guys doing?I hope everyone is well. Today I will share to you the place I explored with my cousins to our neighboring Province, the Maragusan, Davao de Oro. Maragusan is well known as the summer capital of Davao Region because of it's cold weather, people go here to freshen up since their cities is too warm during summer.

My brother and I woke up 5 in the morning earlier. We prepared for our breakfast and coffee before leaving the house so we could have energy to have fun. After preparing we checked out our motorcycle and its fuel, so went to a gasoline station to full its tank. We waited for our cousins about 10 minutes to convoy with them. We had 3 motor cycles travelling.

The ride begins...

Our ride was great because the weather was so fine. We thought it's going to rain because it was so cold but it wasn't! That felt amazing cause the sun was so bright after few minutes. We forgot that the place we were going was a high lind, so expect a cold wind will welcome you. After 1 hour and 40 minutes, we arrived at Cleo Heights safe and sound.

The Beautiful Cleo Heights

We arrived in Cleo Heights at 6:55 am. But before entering the area, we paid total of $1.40 for my brother and mine. We rushed to get to the stairs so that we can see the clouds before it's gone. The locals here said that, the clouds will be gone around 7:30 to 8:00am.

IMG_20200910_063625.jpgBefore we get to see the clouds, we used these stairs. There are so many steps that you should take your time doing it unless you have exercised cardio, that's better. You can see the view across. 😄 It took us around 10-15 minutes before we got to see the view.

IMG_20200910_061745.jpgThe first picture I took the moment we got there at the top.

IMG_20200910_062246.jpgThere are statues too in the area that you can take picture with, one of those is this angel wings. I only took this one because it's my fave.

IMG_20200910_062535.jpgMy brother and our cousin enjoying the bike. I failed to take a nice angle for this one, but my cousin did a really great shot for this in her mobile phone.

IMG_20200910_062839.jpgThere's a nice concrete seat too in the area. This so much better if you took picture in here with your loved ones, friends, siblings and parents.

IMG_20200910_062559.jpgThis is my first time being above the clouds. I am in awe.

After we took pictures and had a breathe fresh of air, we went back to the entrance again. But I saw a rattan hammock and decided to rest first.

FB_IMG_1624107263299.jpgThis is me having sometime to rest. It was sooo relaxing and I just wanted to sleep on this.

IMG_20200910_070904.jpgThe nervous me, but managed to smile.

The Next Stop

The next place we went to was the Calamba Farm. This farm is just a walking distance from Cleo Heights, about 3 to 5 minutes to walk.
We continue walking to Calamba Farm, as we do so, we can't stop staring at the beautiful mountain across us. It was so satisfying. The sun was up but the wind on top of the mountain was still cold.

IMG_20210624_194155.jpgMy cousins and I starting to walk going to Calamba Farm.

IMG_20200910_064040.jpgMy cousin and I having a selfie, with the beautiful rays of the sun behind us.

IMG_20200910_064614.jpgWhile walking, you can see vegetables along. This vegie is a pear ("sayote" in filipino language). Locals here used to plant vegetables and fruits as this is their source of income. They harvest and transport it to their city center and it even made it too in my hometown's public market.

IMG_20200910_064502.jpgSeeing the signage of the farm made me feel alive! Almost there. ☺️

We walked about 4 minutes going to Calamba Farm from Cleo Heights. You will not get bored even if you walk 4 minutes or more because of the beauty of sceneries in the area, it was so peaceful and you get to hear birds chirping.

The Calamba Farm Sea of Clouds

The video I took the moment I saw the breathtaking view, I used my mobile phone Huawei y9 2019 on taking this video and uploaded it on my youtube account.

IMG_20200910_065508.jpgThe joy on my face. 😅. I really can't explain my feelings right here. My heart! I asked my brother to take me a photo using my mobile phone,my huawei y9 2019.

IMG_20200910_065151.jpgI just can't get enough of the view. I'm in cloud nine!

IMG_20200910_070030.jpgThis part of the area is the most scary one. We were challenged by my girl cousin to stand in on that part and take a photo.

IMG_20200910_070018.jpgSo my brother was the first one who dared to stand on that area.

received_4137206983032981.jpegNext one is my other cousin.

received_712705782659215.jpegAnd me dared to sit on that area but I am with my brother because I was afraid but still managed to smile because I made it!

received_3978239968869423.jpegI can't take my eyes off of the clouds.

received_4524790757592171.jpeg
received_786441772127018.jpegWe asked a stranger politely to take us a photo so we could have a remembrance in this trip. Yeah we are all wearing jackets because, the temp was really cold in the farm.

IMG_20200910_070414.jpgThere is more area in the farm that you could take a photo with, the locals are very artistic on making this bamboo stick-made seat.

IMG_20200910_070627.jpgThis metal swing is one of the best too. It's actually more beautiful if I wore a dress I think. Like a princess on the garden in fairy tales.😂

IMG_20200910_070900.jpgAnother one I dared to stand on. My knees here are actually shaking, just smiled for photo op's sake. 😂

IMG_20200910_070801.jpgMy brother have to pose here because I can't do it. 😅

IMG_20200910_070344.jpgThese are the area I can't dare to stand. It was beautiful but I just can't, I just took a photo. The makers of these are so artistic though, it's like a big bird's nest, amazing!

After we enjoyed photo taking of the sea of clouds, we walked through the other area of the farm. We found a nice place to chill and rest.

IMG_20200910_071245.jpg
IMG_20200910_071248.jpgWe found this pretty swing hanging on the big tree. The tree was huge and I think this tree is older than me.😱

The Third and Last We Explored the Salvosa Falls

https://youtube.com/shorts/L_hOHb9GJjQ?feature=share

We had a ride again for about 10 minutes going yo our last stop

As we arrived to the entrance, a woman welcomed us. So we asked about the direction of the falls and the woman told us there is an entrance fee when you enter the area, since the is a tourist destination and protected and managed by the local government. So I and my brother paid Php 25.00 ( $0.50) for each of us.

But before we got to see the falls, there's a trail and a little extreme because big rocks and even logs that were drifted are blocking the trail. We took the trail about 5 minutes.

IMG_20200910_075303.jpgThe part of the trail before we get to see the falls.

IMG_20200910_075131.jpgAs you can see there is a long blue rope on the rock. That will be the way going to the falls.

received_345598559920136.jpegAnd we did it. It was scary because you might slid and fall. But thankfully we made it.

IMG_20200910_075715.jpgAnd finally we got to see the gorgeous Salvosa Falls.

IMG_20200910_075802.jpgSolo photo with the Falls.

received_233373764780874.jpegPhoto for my brother.

IMG_20200910_075745.jpgWe can't resist the beauty of the falls. We took many photos of it. My other cousin even had a swim to the water. I and the rest didn't took the chance to swim because we can't take it's coldness. 🥶

IMG_20210713_184157.jpgMe, my brother and my cousins behind us is the Salvosa Falls.

IMG_20200910_075722.jpg*The last photo I took before going home.

Previous photos looks like we were just us on the place, but there were too many people also enjoying the place and the water. We noticed they brought their packed food so they can stay more longer on the place that if they got hungry they don't have to go home immediately. They were enjoying and people even did their laundry on that falls's water. ☺️ Yeah, that's the traditional way of washing clothes here in the Philippines. Our ancestors used to do it because washing machine wasn't a thing before and some people still do that way today and put their washed clothes on the big rocks to let it dry. We saw them very happy of what they were doing.

We really had a wonderful day with my cousins and brother. It was worth the trip because we were lucky to have seen the clouds, and not missed it (locals said that the clouds appear depends on the weather) and we even get to see a gorgeous waterfalls the Salvosa. And of course it was the best trip specially when you're with your family or relatives that rarely happens because of the busy schedules with work and studies or other business. I can say, I will definitely be coming back here with my family, my mom, and other siblings who missed this trip. We enjoyed the view so much. It's all our first time to be in this municipality, that made us all excited about. Just seeing the clouds made us speechless, we just made sure that we took a photo with it, and laugh about how funny some of our photos here (but I won't post it here..hahaa it's embarrassing), we really had fun! But the best memory that tattooed on my mind was the moment I felt the air above, it was so calming and it relieved me. It emptied my mind from all the worries I had and the tiredness from work, I just did feel the moment, the moment that we all need in days we felt like there's no more relief for stress. I realized that we should give ourselves a break once week to recharge and this is my way, to reconnect with nature. ☺️ How about you?

All photos and videos are mine are taken with my mobile phone Huawei Y9 2019 at Maragusan, Davao de Oro, Mindanao, Philippines.
