No worries about school closings, Link gives employees a week of paid leave

Starting Monday, April 5, Link will "give" employees a week of simultaneous paid vacation to reduce burnout. This will be a "blessing" for French employees, as the all-French school will conduct a distance learning session next week.

This is not the first time that Link has implemented simultaneous vacations for all employees, as they already tested this method at the end of December last year, and they believe it is effective in reducing the risk of burnout.

More than 10,000 employees at Collingwood will take a week off at the same time. The main purpose of the decision is to give employees a week to "recharge" their batteries and avoid burnout from work. A spokesperson for Collage said, "It's a fantastic idea to give the whole company a break at the same time. What's the best part? When you come back from vacation, you won't see a pile of unread emails in your inbox."

The week of temporary paid time off given by Collingwood applies to most of its 15,900 full-time employees, but members of the "core group" will continue to work next week, but they'll also get a few days off afterward." With the outbreak of Newcastle pneumonia last March, Link was one of the first U.S. companies to adopt telecommuting. Most of the companies that have adopted telecommuting have not yet reopened their offices, and some are using a combination of remote and on-site offices. Twitter has announced it will maintain telecommuting on a permanent basis.

San Francisco-based Collage, which closed for a few days at the end of December last year, said telecommuting will continue through September 2021. In an interview with CNN Business, Teuila Hanson, director of human resources at Collingwood, said, "People come back from the holidays refreshed, and they experience the joy of getting out of the house and being able to do things like read a book or watch a movie and relax."
