HONOURING SENIOR CITIZENS

Human is much intelligent than any other species in the world. They have thinking power than other animals. We can differ good and bad. There is different ages of people in our society and they are infat, child, teen, young, middle aged or may be senior citizen. Today I will write about responsibilities towards our senior citizens. Hope this community will realize it helpful.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY SENIOR CITIZEN?

Senior citizen means such people who are much older than any other people. Generally this definition perfectly suits the people of aged 60 years or more than that.

Naturally these aged people can't work properly or effectively. So they can be called as unemployed. They can't do any hard job due to their age. Their ability to work becomes weaker.

WHY THEY ARE SO MUCH IMPORTANT TO THE SOCIETY?

A senior citizen plays a vital role in the society through many ways. They are more knowledgeable than any other aged people in a society. They have spent years in the society dealing with many matters. They know how to tackle a worse situation. They are always a blessing to the society. If we face any problems in our life, we always go to our parents or grand-parents. Because they never let ourselves go down. They show a way to come back from any sorrows or danger. They always think about our betterment. They pave a best way for us.

Sometimes we fall from our tracks. So we have to suffer more than any other people. Some times we decide to do some horrible types of work, such as committing suicide. It is very bad work to do. In this circumstances, if we go to our senior citizens and discuss with them about the matter, i believe they can give you a better solution. They know about the world much well than us. They can differentiate the situation better.

WHAT CAN WE DO FOR THEM?

We have many responsibilities towards them. They are essential element of our society. So we have some responsibilities to do. I have figured out some points that how can we show respect to them and they are:

  • We can give support their suggestions towards us.

  • Giving them beautiful gifts in their birthdays.

  • We can arrange different types of cultural programme for them.

  • We can give them financial supports, if they want.

  • Government can arrange pension programme for the senior citizens.

  • We should help them at any time.



These are my thoughts of showing honour to them. I think they deserve more tan that. They are a one kind of pearl of our society. We should keep them safe from any kinds of problems. Through this, we can help them better.
