So, you think you are very much good on that bike? How fast and speedy can you go? Have you ever done any cool jump?

Imagine you are riding your bike at the speed of Light. What’d you see? What other people would perceive?

Speed has always thrilled human beings. Faster they move, more and more thrill they encounter. But upto what speed??Have you ever thought what would happen if you move at the speed of light or drive anything at speed of light?

The speed of light is 3×10⁸ m/s (300 million m/s).

So, the first physical phenomenon that you will experience at speed of light is that your mass will become infinite.

According to the theory of relativity, “When your velocity increases, there is increase in the mass which is ignorable in beginning. But when you approach speed of light, your mass increases upto infinite.”

It seems fascinating but practically, it is impossible because you need infinite amount of energy to move an infinite mass at speed of light. Where would that infinite energy come from???

However, Nature has put some shortcuts like warmholes.

Second physical consequence of riding your bike at speed of light is time dilation. Time dilation is a difference in the elapsed time as measured by two clocks due to a relative velocity between them. Time passes slowly for the objects moving at very high speed.

Basically, the faster you move, the slower you moves through time. So, if you ride your bike at speed of light for 20 minutes there would be 40 minutes passed on clock of an observer who is at rest. This is not you have time travelled for 20 minutes rather it is time has passed slower for you as compared to the observer. So, if you are riding your bike at the speed of Light then time would stand still for you.

The third physical phenomenon that you would experience is doppler effect. It will cause the color of the objects near to you, distorted. You will see the nearly objects blue due to compression of wavelengths. And when you look at your back, you will see the all the objects in red color due to the expansion of wavelengths. The more further you go, the wavelengths become unseen to you by human eyes and eventually, you would start seeing everything black because photons will not be able to reach your eyes.
