Happy to see Winnie the Pooh again (2018)

Analog sensibility, slow aesthetics, and leisurely reflection.

The film is set in London after the war. Perhaps that is why the city in the movie has an analogue sensibility, and the post-war vigor and the dark atmosphere brought about by this excessive vigor dominate the entire movie.

Moreover, looking at Pooh and his friends, the overall color is dull, unlike the original. There is something frustrating just with the dull color, but even the actions of Pooh and his friends are slow and frustrating. But if you put your heart down a little and look at it, the slow speed feels just cute and adorable. Perhaps the reason we are obsessed with fast speed is because we are too adapted to the way this era demands. Humanity demands indicators of high productivity, such as'fast' and'many,' as we go through the industrial age, and the digital age is decorated with all kinds of stimulating media.

The film proceeds in the exact opposite direction to the requirements of the modern society.

The film proceeds in the exact opposite direction to the requirements of the modern society. With the immediate background of the World War as a background, it stimulates the analogue sensitivity, while the productivity of creating something slowly, as opposed to busy, converges to zero. Where Winnie the Pooh goes, everything is a mess. Driven by a really unproductive protagonist and such a protagonist, who breaks down the stacked shelves and blows up the documents written by Robin, the movie does not show a little productivity and makes all the mess.

I think the movie may feel stuffy. The younger brother we saw together criticized Poo as a nuisance, citing Pooh's actions in the movie, saying that Robin is a Buddha. In fact, I think it is because of the'anxiety' latent inside of the modern people that worrying about the actions of Fu takes precedence. Anxiety works unconsciously, and even while watching a movie where worries and worries about the future are only'the script', he raises his head and screams inside.

Watching the movie, I thought about letting go of my mind for a moment. In fact, I got impatient when Poo broke the shelf and wandered around the house with honey-stained feet. "When do we rearrange that?". Even when Robin throws himself into the stream to save Eyor, he says, "When do you wash those clothes again?" It was like this. It is true that he felt frustrated and anxious while watching a movie until Robin met his friends and defeated Hepalem.

There are times in life that need commas.

At the beginning of the movie, a little Robin and Poo are drawn together for a while, and after that, Robin's life appears and disappears from the screen as quickly as a kaleidoscope. Boarding school entered at a young age. And I heard about my father's obituary at a boarding school. "Now you are the head of the house." The responsibility of the head of the young Robin. And war. Love, home.

Robin has lived a fierce life like a war. The future waiting for him is still not easy. Robin survived the fierce times and became the head of a family, but the sense of responsibility as the head of the family that has embraced him since childhood makes him and his loved ones exhausted.

Robin has no choice but to devote his time and devotion to his loved one. In Robin's appearance, numerous office workers were overlapped. I, too, are mostly buried in work, and the people around me are also struck by work. Why? Because it's scary. The fear of an uncertain future that anyone will have. Like Hepalem in the movie,'an uncertain future' does not show its appearance and scares people. So to hide somewhere. Of course, the fear may consume you, but on the contrary, you may overcome it. Hepalem may not be much more than it looks.

Of course, it's cool to run hard, but shouldn't you know how to take care of yourself?

Of course, since these days of uncertainty are too high, I can't tell you that you don't need to do anything like Poop, just enjoy the present. However, it certainly feels like a balance is needed. Are you living a life too skewed? Are you too tired of yourself right now? If you're tired, you'll need to take a rest for a moment and think about whether it's time to stock up on your strength to walk again.

Of course, it's cool to run hard, but shouldn't you know how to take care of yourself? That way, I will be able to re-energize and go further. In that case, you can take a break or go back. Don't take the time to take care of yourself too little. There are times in life where you absolutely need commas. Life isn't a sprint, it's like a marathon.

So when is today?

What Fugue said in the final scene of the movie is quite impressive.

"It was so hard today for tomorrow."

The film shows Robin's case as an example, and brings him back to his most peaceful and happiest times, opening up a new life for Robin. And the peaceful rest given to Robin raises the exhausted Robin again and heals his life. If you see Robin heal and feel healed together, the sum of you and this movie was fine.

"Human maturity is rediscovering the seriousness of playing as a child."
-Nietzsche, <Beyond Good and Evil>, Chapter 4, Proverbs and Interlude

Nietzsche treated the busy modern people as just crazy and bustling people. Furthermore, he emphasizes that modern people should be given time to ponder, and this is one of the urgent human correction work to be done. Then, where does the time to ponder come from? It comes from our childhood. Like children playing in the present without worrying and worrying about tomorrow. As Robin meets his childhood friends, Pooh and his friends, and plays seriously like a child, Robin's life begins to rise.

Unfortunately, it wasn't bad. It was a pleasant happy ending.

As Robin smiled brightly, it can be seen that Robin, who did not know how to truly rejoice, and who was not mature in respecting her feelings, has grown further. Robin, a coward who only hides for fear of Hepalem, grows up by meeting Pooh and his friends. Robin's defeat of Hepalem played a role in reviving the courage of his innocent childhood, and that courage leads the play to a happy ending.

Of course, the happy ending of this movie is somewhat unconvincing and feels like a fairy tale. In fact, the wall of reality is higher than we think, so our courage alone cannot bring out a happy ending. Courage alone is impossible. You must also support your luck and skill. Unfortunately, if you think it's a fairy tale movie that functions as a healing, it wasn't bad. It was a pleasant happy ending.
