INTRODUCTION

Counselling is the process of helping an individual or group of people to overcome problem or difficulty that may seems impossible to them.
It is a one on one encounter between a professional counsellor and a client.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Confidentiality is an important aspect of counselling. This means that under normal circumstances no one outside the Counselling Center is given any information about the counselling process and information about the client.

IMPORTANCE OF COUNSELLING AND CONFIDENTIALITY

Counselling helps the client to understand that he or she can overcome and live a better life as expected by he/she by making positive decisions that will influence his/he lifestyle.
While confidentiality promotes good relationship between two individuals or groups.

TWO TYPES OF COUNSELLING

Individual and group counselling
Individual counselling is a one on one encounter between a professional counsellor and a client.
While group counselling has to do with two or more people with the intention of achieving great goals and objectives.
