The following is a discussion of Sketches. The discussion includes Understanding Sketches, Types of Sketches, Sketch Techniques, and Sketch Examples. Here's the full discussion.
Definition of Sketch
A sketch is a rough and light drawing used to initiate or as the framework of a painting.
Sketches can be distinguished into 2 namely:
- Fine Art but its function can also be as applied art. Fine art is an art that is only used as a decoration, regardless of its function and usefulness.
- Applied art is an art that in addition to paying attention to its beauty also pays attention to its functions and uses.
Types of sketches
The types of sketches reviewed in terms of their implementation are distinguished into 3, namely:
- Drawing outlines is drawing lines of simple shapes with no details and no finish.
- A quick sketch is to use just a few lines to image the finished sktesa.
- Imagery study is a sketch in the form of quick and less detailed scribbles (only shows global form only).
Building Elements in Sketch
- Line
- Color
- Fields and Shapes
- Dark light.
Sketch Techniques
There are many sketch techniques, as I will point out:
Shading Technique
It is a technique of shading using pure lines only.
Dussel Technique
It is a sketch technique that is almost similar to the shading technique, but for Dussel's technique the lines look sketchy because they are refined.
Tenik pointilis
It is a sketching technique that combines dots into a shape and allows the dark-light of an object.
