COMMISSIONED PORTRAIT

in hive-120695 •  14 days ago

Hi guys, how are you doing today, trust everyone had a great day.

Today I worked on a pencil portrait created on a FBB card paper using Kimberly Graphite pencil, the 6B to be specific and also charcoal pencil and some other necessary materials.

I particularly enjoyed working on this portrait because the provided reference picture by the client was of high definition which contributes to the outcome of the image because I was able to see and put into account every detail on the face of model down to the cloth he was putting on. I believe a good reference contributes equally to the outcome of an artwork just as much as the artist talent.

I worked on this for approximately 24hours and I must say that it was the best time of every day I worked on the portrait.

I am impressed and I don't think that's long.
The old masters did took their time.
You are also way better than the photocamera.
Do you spray it when it's finished?

Thank you,
Yes I fixated it when I was done with the portrait

Thank you

Wow, it's really beautiful ☺️

Thank you for your honest appreciation❤️

Wow, this is exceptional!
Do you also draw landscapes?

Drawing landscapes requires technical skill and artistic vision. To capture nature's essence, artists must balance composition, perspective and lighting. Key elements include horizon lines, vanishing points and atmospheric depth. Layering techniques, texture and color blending also enhance realism. While I'm not currently working on a landscape piece, I'm eager to explore this genre soon. I look forward to experimenting with mediums and styles to evoke the serenity and majesty of the natural world. Stay tuned for future projects that will showcase my interpretation of the breathtaking landscapes that inspire us all.
