“The African woman I”

in hive-120695 •  15 days ago  (edited)

Hi guys I’m new on here, invited by an artist friend @tezzmax. I’m an artist working in various mediums such as pen, charcoal, pastel and digital art to create a thought provoking work of art as I sharing my experiences and beliefs in my works.

This is my first post and it talks about the African Woman in his natural state of being, carry her elaborate Afro hairdo with a utmost confidence and pride.

Creating this I used a ballpoint pen on an acid free catridge paper.

Thank you for the detailed review

At first glance, I think: this is a complex drawing. If I have a closer look, also thanks to the pictures where you show several steps of your drawing, I can only say that it looks sublime. The hairdo is drawn with a few lines, so simple but at the same time you managed to show a crown and a beautiful princess. I love it.

Thank you so much! I'm thrilled you appreciate the simplicity and elegance of the drawing. Capturing complexity with minimal strokes is a delicate balance, and your feedback confirms I've achieved that.

The Impressionist technique, using suggestive strokes and subtle hints, aims to engage the viewer's imagination. Your observation of the hairdo, crown and princess reveals the power of simplicity in art.

Welcome on board brother. I hope you enjoy your stay here. You can check out @wakeupkitty @joslud @stef1 @newton666 and engage with them and other members of the community.
