It's been another early start to my day. In Ramadan I resolved to continue waking up early morning after Ramadan also. I also resolved to offer mornings prayers in the mosque. For last 2 days I faltered a bit, I slept over the beeping alarm and got up late. BUT, yesterday I asked my sis to call me every morning so that I can wake up and offer prayer.
Today I received her call at 4:30 and I Immediately threw myself out of the bed and went to wash. I performed ablution and made my way to mosque. Offering prayer at 5 I returned to my place and drank lukewarm water. I also read some judgements, used Steemit, and made the breakfast. After taking bath I had breakfast and quickly got ready for office.
Logging in to virtual Court
Our first hearing scheduled at 10:30 before Single Judge in Administrative Tribunal was virtual. While readying the brief, we were notified the bench will not be sitting today. All the cases listed before the bench were rescheduled for tomorrow.
This created ripples in our schedule, resultantly I had to go to High Court. The Court, as usual, was teeming with people. I spent my half day there, attending cases and observing proceedings. At 1:00, I had a quick lunch break and offered prayer. I then headed to our private chamber where I was supposed to assist my senior in next virtual case that was listed before Division Bench.
Arguments going on
Fortunately, our turn came before the Division Bench and our matter was partly heard. The matter pertained to promotion upto 4:30 the bench continued to hear us. The hearing couldn't conclude due to paucity of time and will be continued tomorrow.
Wrapping up at the office, I went back to my place and offered evening prayers. I then spent some time working on steemit post and used social media for some time. As a lawyer, there's always some work remaining but I have to take care of other things also. I cooked and squatted back to take rest. It was raining cats and dogs. The incessant rain still continues as I write the Diary post.
I had a dinner at 10 and sat to relax. I expect going to bed now a bit early. Tomorrow is another busy day, and I badly need rest.
