Congratulations to my plant for earning a 5️⃣ ⭐ in the just ended NOSA audit with a score of 95%. A year ago, we had 5️⃣ ⭐ with an 80% score. There's been improvement over the last 1 year. Congratulations to all of us. NOSA stands for National Occupational Safety Association. It's a leading provider of Occupational Health and Safety service and also audits firms and organisations on their occupational health and safety management system against international standards.
They are very strict and the smallest of infractions will reduce your score. We have a very experienced occupational health and safety coordinator at work and he's keen on ensuring all the rules are followed.
Most of the things are for our own safety but I see a lot of guys feeling reluctant to follow them. They are so used to doing things their way that, they don't want to follow simple instructions. If anyone gets injured, it doesn't only affect them. It affects the entire team and also their loved ones back home.
Management got us a cake and some drinks to celebrate this moment. Everyone was included including the security guys who were around. Some was reserved for those who will come later for the night shift. It was a time for bonding as well. We were all one in those few moments.
All's well with me and my loved one. Machine wasn't the best today and I'm being looked t with some kind of eye. Some are of the opinion that I'm incompetent. Hopefully, things take a better turn for me from here. Happy midweek y'all.
