SEC17/W2| While making decisions, what do you prefer to follow: heart or mind?

in hive-120823 •  6 months ago

Decision-making is very important in our lives some people follow their minds before deciding whereas some follow their heartbeats to decide their lives. In this post, I take on which of the ones that I follow when making decisions. Happy Reading.

What is your preference while making decisions, heart or mind?

Our heart is guided by imagination and emotions, whereas on the other hand, our mind operates logically, relying on limited perspective and facts. To this, my preference while making decisions is my heart since I am a very emotional person who feels for others.

I do follow what my heart tells me when making decisions that I see as the best for me to take. When a person is confused about making decisions the person should follow what his or her heart is telling him or her.

I prefer following what my heart tells me because I believe what God wants me to do is what he has communicated to me through my heart. Our heart is wiser than our mind.

Do you think we need both in terms of making decisions? Describe reasons.

Yes, I think we need both in terms of making decisions. It is believed that human decisions are made through a combination of both cognition (mind) and emotions (heart), so many people have made decisions by listening to their mind which led them to success, which they still end up regretting not following their heart which would have made them feel more comfortable in life.

Decision-making through the mind can lead to success which can make a person feel regretting because our mind is always reflected on success, whereas our hearts are always reflected on achieving success at the right time.

In terms of making decisions, I think both are very important as sometimes a person would only hear from his or her mind without hearing from his or her heart. It is easier to hear from our mind than hearing from our heart, as it is believed that hearing from our heart is a divine gift.

Are you an emotional or a practical person in real life?

In real life, I am an emotional person which I why I always follow my heart when making decisions. People making decisions I always take my time to think of others' feelings. I don't have the mind to treat someone badly or pay evil for evil and I am very passionate about others I do get emotional about any small thing.

One thing about me is that I am not a heartless person but a very calm person who always feels and has sympathy for others. The feelings of others most especially those around usually affect me because I am so emotional.

Do you have any suggestions for youth which one they should follow in their day-to-day lives?

My suggestion for them not to be too fast in making decisions In their life which I am suggesting for youth to pray before making decisions. Follow your heart and do what is right as a youth in your day-to-day lives and stay away from what is wrong as sometimes our mind can be deceiving to us.

As a youth think twice and pray as a youth when you are been faced with decisions (ideas) that are coming from both your heart and mind. Finally, as a youth consult an elderly person for guidance.

You have shared with great quality why a man should follow his/her heart when in a confused state and when he/she can't really think much.

The heart is gold, especially for people who have the gift of hearing via the heart having estimated the decisions made by the heart over time to be great ones (or successful). At the same time, I believe there are extremely difficult situations that require more thinking and practicals using the mind.

In the end, what matters is making the right decisions having following valid methods based on our preferences. Wish you the best on this.

You are right sir, making the right decisions is what matter the most. Thanks for stopping by.

While the writer leans in the direction of adhering to the heart as a result of their psychological nature, they recognize the significance of both educators. Their self-questioning discloses a deep idea in the knowledge of the heart assisted by magnificent interaction.

Thank you brother for stopping by.

@josepha I resonate with your choice to listen to your heart as emotions often guide us towards what truly matters. Your insights about the importance of both heart and mind are spot on we need that balance to make well-rounded decisions. Best of luck in the contest

¡Holaaa amigo!😊

Thanks for your support.

I'd agree with that, my friend. Trusting your heart's guidance can often lead to decisions that align with your deepest desires and values. Emotions can offer valuable insights that logic alone might overlook. It's important to strike a balance between the two, but if your heart speaks loudly, it's worth listening. After all, it's what makes you uniquely you. Keep following that intuition 👍👍

It is important for youth to take their time when faced with decisions and not rush into things. Seeking guidance from trusted elders or mentors can provide valuable insight and advice based on their experiences. Additionally, praying before making decisions can offer clarity and peace of mind in choosing the right path.
