I'm happy to participate in this last week's engagement challenge hosted here in this community. It is indeed a wonderful contest that talks about the grand festival of my country.
Every country as we all know has a grand festival and the way it is celebrated matters a whole lot. I will be discussing briefly how the grand festival of my country is celebrated using the questions below.
What is the grand festival in your country, and how do you celebrate that festival? (Mention some rituals if you follow).
There are many grand festivals in my country but the one I want to discuss today is the new yam festival. The New Yam festival is a festival that is celebrated in some parts of the country and it takes many days for the celebration.
This celebration is done after the planting of yam for months to its period of harvesting. When the yam is harvested people within a community will come together and then eat and drink together.
So when this festival is celebrated, people cook or roast yam and then there will be dancing and singing all over the entire place for many more days.
Would you love to go on a vacation during this festive period, or would you love to stay in your country and celebrate the festival with your family? Give the reason behind your choice.
No, I wouldn't like to travel anywhere during this period because it's a period that I enjoy the most in my country. People travel from far and near to ensure that they come back for the celebration.
I would like to join my friends who will be coming for the celebration during this period. You all know that during the festive period, we get to see our childhood friends and those we have missed a whole lot.

Yes, there are many memorable moments I have related to this very festival, and in so many cases I have met so many people who have not been aware for so times.
On one of the occasions I attended the grand festival here, I was able to see people from my childhood whom I hadn't seen for a very long period.
They all came and brought a lot of gifts which we shared and everyone was so happy that such a celebration was done to unite us all once again.
