Hello Everyone!
I am someone, who loves nature, and being around nature feels like therapy to me. Whenever I am feeling low on energy, I prefer to go for a walk or watch the sunset. Nature has also been my inspiration for painting and writing. Most of the poetry I have written watching sunsets and most of my paintings are of sunrise, sunset, or moon. Today, I am going to share one of my watercolor paintings, which is of the sunset. This was inspired by the recent sunset view I saw from the terrace of my home. I will be sharing the photos of the painting by the process and, the reference image was clicked on 19th July 2023 at 7:33 P.M. by me. Do share your views on it, I will highly appreciate it. Step By Step Process
First, I wet the whole paper with little water, and then started painting the first layer with the colors looking at the reference image. I have used ultramarine blue, black, and orange. I couldn't capture every step while painting this, as we need to work quickly with watercolor as it gets dried soon.
Second, after the first layer got completely dry, I repeated the first step over it, to get more depth and darker shade.
Third, after the second layer was completely dried. I painted the mountain black and, waited for it to dry.
Fourth, after the black color had completely dried, I started making little dots using white and light yellow colors for the city light view.
Five, Slowly, I removed the masking tape from the painting. This step needs to be done carefully, as it may rip off the paper or the paint from the edge. The final and best look of the painting comes just after removing the masking tape.
