Firstly, I would like to thank @Incredible India for coming up with such a great topic for the challenge post. Such posts help us users and readers to understand each other, which is great, as we are all part of this Steemit platform.
What is the preferred gift that can impress you? The reason behind your choice.
To be frank, materialist gifts don’t impress me anymore, nor do I prefer taking gifts from anyone. The gifts that can impress me are expensive in today’s world; that is time and effort. Someone’s time is more valuable to me than any other gift. I want the time and effort of my people where we hang out and talk about life, understand and listen to each other, and be there emotionally and mentally when we are together.
Giving expensive gifts without their time is of no use. I can buy things on my own but I can’t buy someone’s time, or their presence in my life.
Do you believe the gift is a gesture that sometimes helps to enhance our relationships?
I feel without time and effort, giving gifts can never enhance any relationship. If time and effort are kept as an obvious thing in a relationship, then yes, at times gifts and surprises can improve the relationship, as one feels special. Keeping in mind one’s favorite things for a gift is the sweetest gesture one can make in any relationship.
For example: I love sweets and if someone brings me my favourite sweet, I will love it. I don’t like taking expensive gifts, even from my family members. I prefer buying them on my own.

During my school days, I received some handmade cards from my friends, and all of them are still the best gifts I have received as those cards hold time and effort with all the love. You can call it a 90s thing but I still love handmade things, cards, and handwritten letters. These things hold the part of us in it while we make or write. In today’s era, these all gifts have lost their value in the eyes of people but some old-school people still love them… like me.

No greater gift can be expected than receiving human love Don't like your object gift. That's right, money can buy things but not gifts like love. You also mentioned the 90s. Hey! You are right, human love is what we all need, people might at times run after money and fame but, at last everyone craves for human love. I feel what is the use of those money and fame, if you have no one to share with, without relation and emotions life feels empty.
