The Power of Decluttering and Organising.

Hello Everyone!

In today’s world, where people have become more materialistic than realistic, it’s obvious that people own much more possessions than they need. And, more possession of things means more confusion regarding what things to keep with ourselves, what things we don’t what to keep, and where to keep them. Right?
So, we are stressing over many things that we don’t need in our life.

For example: Look at your wardrobe. There might be around 20% to 30% of clothes that you haven’t worn till today, and 20% to 30% of clothes which you wear on some occasions only. This leaves around 50%, from which, there might be 20% of clothes, that you love wearing and the rest 30% are the clothes that you don’t like much or you are bored wearing them. So, around 40% to 50% of your wardrobe is occupied with clothes you don’t wear, which means unnecessary hoarding. Obviously, this adds to your confusion while deciding what to wear. If you remove those 50% clothes, half of your confusion is removed straight away.

Likewise, in our day-to-day activities, if we remove all the unwanted things and even unnecessary thoughts, half of the issues and confusion will get vanished. Sounds great, right? And, you know what, cleaning our surroundings also has a psychological benefit in our lives. If you start decluttering things around you, your mind starts thinking more clearly, which reduces stress and anxiety and leads to mood upliftment.

Once you start decluttering things around you, you should also start organizing things according to your priority. For example, Things you use daily… keep them in front or on one shelf. And, things which you use rarely, keep them separate. This way, your wardrobe will be organized and you won’t have to waste time to find things. Usually, when things are messed up, we waste our time to find them and we even get irritated while finding them. So, when things are organized properly, you are at peace and less irritated as compared to the days when things are messy.

So, try to declutter and organize things around you slowly. For example, this week, you can spend some time removing the shoes you don’t wear or are torn out. Next week, you can go with your beauty products, and so on. This way you won’t feel sad to dump so many things at once in a single day. If you declutter your clothes, shoes, accessories, bags, books, and household holds items all in a day, there is a high chance you may feel guilty for spending so much on these things. So, better declutter and organize things day by day or weekly or monthly as per your convenience.

Hope this might help you and motivate you to declutter and organize your surroundings.

Take care of yourself and your environment. :)
