Everyone must have a role model in life. My role model is a woman who has extraordinary authority and charisma. She is my mother's older Sister. I call her Bunda. And that's our nickname for her.
She is the most softly-spoken woman I have ever met. Never once did I hear her raise her voice with anyone, let alone her family. Every time I meet my Bunda, she always strokes my head, and even now She still strokes and caresses my hair.
Besides her gentle speech, She is a woman who is very deep in her religious understanding. She practiced it with great love. Her gentleness and patience made her face younger than her years.
She always taught me the meaning of patience and not being hasty with everything that is being faced. Inhale first, then face everything with a smile. Those are her teachings that make my heart always calm. And I always try to apply it in every step of my life.
Another life lesson that I got from her is don't be afraid to go abroad. Because overseas we will be freer to work. It's true, when she lived in Jakarta, she did many positive activities. Even the Majlis Taklim assembly was covered by one national television.
Having a role model in life makes whatever we do direct, we know what we want to achieve and how to make it happen. The effort we make becomes more focused, and not easy to lose direction. Those who have role models in life will find it easier to achieve success compared to people who walk without a definite direction.
