Steem engagement challenge-S12/W2|I would love to prefer A Metropolis lifestyle

I live in the vibrant city of London in the UK. It is a place that many across the globe have heard of and wish to come over here to study, work, sightsee or just practice their English. So without further ado I certainly prefer a metropolis lifestyle for a number of reasons.

To begin with living in a city has a lot more to offer compared to living in a smaller establishment. There is always something going on, literally an hour ago I attended a photography workshop where I got to develop my own black and white photographs in the darkroom. I also attended the exhibition of my yoga teacher.

Another than tons of art, living in a big city gives you the opportunity to meet different nationalities and get to know their culture. An interesting fact which I learnt through my travels abroad is that Brussels, Belgium’s capital is home to 186 different nationalities.

This cultural diversity is also reflected in the food. There are all sorts of cuisines available to try including whole areas where you can also shop goods from the far East for instance.

Many people are under the impression that in a big city like London we have no access to nature and wildlife which isn’t true. We have numerous parks and formal gardens many of which are even free to enter for both locals and tourists.

However here in the city we have lots of noise and light pollution so when I go to stay in a village for the weekend somewhere remote like Cumbria I love to stargaze and I am amazed by how quiet it actually is. Recently I stayed in a friend’s farm in Wales and despite being out all day walking, birdwatching and taking photographs I literally met no one, not even a single dog walker which can be both a blessing and a curse.

Living in a big city like London also makes you a magnet for visitors, pretty much everyone who knows you finds it hard to resist to get to sleep in one of your guest bedrooms. Well, as much as it is nice to be popular not many want to turn their private home into a hotel.

The metropolis lifestyle has lots of inspiration to offer however it can also be rather distracting and overwhelming when it comes to the many events constantly on crowded with too many people, their cars, dogs and children, in that order of course.
