Steem engagement challenge-S12/W6|The grand festival in my country

Hello friends I hope you all are doing well and safe because Currently the weather is not good and lots of mosquitos also spreading dengue so take care of your health.

Firstly I would like to thank you for this platform because Steemit is the platform where every day they come with new and interesting challenges they give chance everyone to shine on this platform. Today's topic is very important for me because today I will not write this challenge but I represent my country too.

I am from Kolkata the city of Joy and in Kolkata, every festival celebrates very nicely with a lot of enthusiasts.
India is the country for festivals, every season has its special festival. In Kolkata, we are celebrating lots of festivals like,

• Ganesh chaturdshi
• Durga Puja
• Kali puja
• Laxmi Puja
• Saraswati Puja
• Diwali
• Chat puja
• Pohela Boishakh

Every year we celebrate this festival, Last year I was not at home, so I'm so happy that this year we are celebrating very happily with my family. Kolkata's most popular festival is Durga Puja. Durga puja has its own Hindu tradition, It's a sign of victory against evil Mahisahura, or in other words, it's victory of good over evil. This festival is meant for decoration and beautiful architectural design, Durga Puja pandals are made before 2 months and decorated with lots of lights. Kolkata is famous for its art and decoration. In my colony pandals already started for decoration and it's partially completed. I have taken some picks of that these are below.

This festival brings a lot of joy and pleasure to everyone. People started marketing one month ago, shopping malls are also giving special discounts for Durga Puja. People visit Pandal from Panchami, Sasthi, Saptami, Ashtami, Navami, and Dasami is the saddest day of Durga puja because in Dasami Durga maa immersion in Ganga. In Dasami all married women played Sindoor khela with sindur and gave Bidai to Durga maa.

Durga Puja is the most popular festival. This year Durga Puja starts fifteen on October 2023. Only a few days are left for Mahalaya. Mahalaya starts on fifteen of October. Every place puja pandal started preparation. I completed my puja shopping. After a few days, I will share my Durga puja enjoyment with all my Steem it friends.

I am so excited about my Durga Puja especially since I came here from Bangalore to Kolkata to celebrate Durga Puja with my friends and family. Last year I missed my Durga puja but this year I can't.
