SEC17/W2| While making decisions, what do you prefer to follow: heart or mind?

in hive-120823 •  6 months ago

Asalam alikum, I hope all steemian fellows are doing great. Topic of the contest about decision making is great. I want to share my opinion through this blog. I would love to invite @aaliyarubab, @drhira, @noortatima and @abdulrakib to this contest.

What is your preference while making decisions, heart or mind?

I go with the follow. Sometime it is mind and sometime it is heart that helps me decide. It is not that every time my decision is correct but I learn from every single thing happening in my life and analyze my decision and its outcome. And this analysis helps me in making right decisions in the future.

Do you think we need both in terms of making decisions? Describe reasons.

Yes I think we should consider both mind and heart in decision making. Sometimes it may seem that what we are doing is right logically but our heart is not satisfied because we sense something that logic cannot describe. For example if any of our family member is not good to us and trouble us time and again. We cannot cut off ties with him or her because we feel bonding with that person. So logically we can maintain a healthy distance but leaving that person for good is not the solution. Family needs patience and tolerance. Not only family even society needs patience and tolerance, and that the way to be a good and functional unit of society.
It has happened to me that at times that even listening to your heart puts you in trouble. So what I mean to say that we cannot classify it on hard and fast rule. We should consider both heart and mind but above that it is really helpful if you have a sincere and knowledgeable person with whom you can discuss your issue and based on the discussion you reach to a conclusion.

Are you an emotional or a practical person in real life?

Starting from my childhood I was very emotional person, I would get attach to people and even to their presents. I made a lot of decisions in emotional state that affected me badly. Uptill a certain point I was not even confessing it because emotions were important for me. But now I have started realizing that seeing any issue in its real sense is something that we should do and encourage our youngsters. In the long run what matters is that we were right or wrong. We can take our life and the decision that we make positive but people around us wont. So being realistic is important in life. So I would sum up that I was emotional person but now I am trying my best to be practical and realistic.

Do you have any suggestions for youth which one they should follow in their day-to-day lives?

Yes, of course, I would suggest everyone analyze situation from both perspectives and forecast its outcome. Do not follow blindly heart or reason, analyze situation, and discuss it with someone you trust so that whatever happens both heart and mind are satisfied and we learn happily.

Thank you so much for the encouragement

It's important to be practical in life and make decisions that are right in the long run. Both heart and mind have their merits and can lead to different outcomes. Personally I believe in balancing both to make the best decision. Btw I'm also an emotional person🙈 and I think it's natural to have a soft corner. Thanks for sharing this thought provoking topic! 😊

well said, actually every person has emotions and reason, so the key is to balance both which wil make us live a satisfied life. Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog.

Our mind and heart are the two important ways by which we can make good decisions which yours is your mind that you prefer the most. It is good to know what is good for you. I wish you success.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog. You are right in saying that every person should know about their choices. Every person has emotions and reason but every person's tendency is also different so people make decisions according to their tendencies. All the best for the contest dear.

Your explanation is very informative. our heart is not satisfied because we sense something that logic cannot describe. For example if any of our family member is not good to us and trouble us time and again. We cannot cut off ties with him or her because we feel bonding with that person. Best wishes

Thank you so much for reading and commenting on my blog. I think we have to consider both heart and mind for our satisfaction, and we have to see our inclination or tendency towards heart and mind.

It is important to remember that decision-making is a process of growth and learning. By being open to different viewpoints and considering both emotional and rational aspects, individuals can make decisions that are not only practical but also aligned with their values and beliefs. In the end, the goal is to make choices that lead to personal growth and fulfillment.

exactly, we learn from our decisions and that learning imparts us wisdom and contribute to our growth. Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog.

I as a person, I am a more of practical person than been emotional and because of that, I make use of the mind to make decisions much more than the heart

Right, its good to know that you are aware of your tendencies . When we decide according to our tendencies we are satisfied and have sense of achievement. Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog.

When it comes to decision making, we make use of both to make wise and right decisions I strongly believe. We can make use of our heart or the mind and still make right decisions

Exactly, infact it depends on the circumstances and situations. Your satisfaction is wat matters the most
