The major role of Biharis in shaping modern India.

Lets start from Ajatashatru!

Who is he?

He is the first ever king from Bihar who concurred all of the Northern India. He also established his new Capital ‘Patligram’ later Pataliputra and now ‘Patna’.

Then the Mauryan’s !

Who doesn’t know about them?

But still to brief about them.

Chandragupta Maurya the founder of the Mauryan Dynasty is considered as one of the greatest ruler in the Indian history. Because he established Magadha as an empire not as a kingdom.

Chanakya: The brain behind the Mauryan’s on their Path to power and throne. The writer of “Arthashastra” . First ever book to describe the economics and political science.

Ashoka!

He don’t need an introduction. The undisputed and greatest ruler in the entire Indian History. Nobody challenges his supremacy then and even now! Due to him Mauryan empire became the India’s Largest empire which stretched from Iran in the west to Myanmar in the east. You cannot imagine in the Indian currency and Indian National Flag without Ashoka Stambh and Ashoka chakra.

Now the Gupta Period!

Gupta Period is widely considered as the Golden Age of not only Bihar but as for India. During the Gupta Period Aryabhatta gave trigonometry rules and formulas to the mathematics world. He also gave the 9 planet theory. ‘0’ was also researched during his tenure as the Mathematics HOD at the Nalanda University.

Sher Shah Suri!

The creator of the Shah Dynasty. He was a pathan king who ruled from his capital Sasaram Bihar.

He is the person due to whom we have today our Indian Currency. Yes you guessed it right. He started the rupees as the new currency of India. Before him Mauryan’s gave the currency “Panna’s “ and “Mudra”.
So Basically it was Bihar who was giving the currency of India.

Sher Shah also built the India’s first International Highway from Lahore in Pakistan to Dhaka in Bangladesh “The Grand Trunk Road (G.T Road)”.

Unlike our Neighboring state of Uttar Pradesh (No Offence to UP People..Chill we are friends Bro!!) which was completely dominated, conquered, and ruled from time to time by the invaders Bihar came under rule only under the Mughal Emperor ShahJahan ( Emperor of the world, hmm..It seems that For the uneducated Mughals India was the whole world…Lol !! )

Before that Akbar and Jahangir were able to reach the Bihar Borders till Banares( today Varanasi) . But not Beyond that. The reason being that both the Father-Son Duo was busy fighting our Rajput Brothers. !!

And to Mention most importantly Bihar is the only state in whole India which has given birth to 2 religions. Yes you got that right..2 !!

Buddhism and Jainism.!
Ever wonder why these chinese, Japanese, Bhutanese, South asians, Koreans,Taiwanese, Sri lankans and many more respect Bihar more than they respect India ?

And if for any instance you think that Hinduism goes to UP …then Hold on Bro…”Goddess Sita wife of Lord Rama was a Biharan (Bihari woman) born and bought up in Mithila distrct. We still have a temple on her name in sitamarhi Bihar.

And talking about the mythology how can i forget that we were the true writer of the “Ram charitra manas” later Pandits from UP translated it into Hindi. Do not believe me..?? What..?? Google it now.!!

Do you know the Jarasandha ??? From Mahabharata the epic war story of Hindu Mythology. And Yes! Where else he could have been from..?? He was from Bihar ! He was the Ruler of Magadha Kingdom! who circled the Indraprastha ( Today’s Delhi) the capital of Pandava’s. See from the very beginning we were interested in capturing the Delhi !! We are futuristic people. To Defeat him pandava’s have to out source the help from the Lord Krishna.

Also for you all the Sex Lovers !! The Legendary “Kamasutra” was written by a Bihari guy “ The Vātsyāyana “ during the Gupta period. I told you Gupta period is considered as the golden period of India. And now you know why..!! :P :P

Now lets Jump to Centuries later into the 18th and 19th century India!

India at that time was ruled by the British government.

1857 : Mangal Pandey the man who sparked the First freedom revolution in 1857 was not a Bihari but was a sepoy in Bihar Regiment of the British-India Infantry Regiment.

1857: Kunwar singh, the 80 year old Chandravanshi Rajput King form Ara,Bihar gave british run for their life for the freedom of India until he died because of his wounds.

The Grand Darbhanga Raj!

The Kings of Raj Darbhanga were known for their Lavish life and humanitarian/Philanthropist efforts. Raj Darbhanga Kings doesn’t even hesitated donating their Palaces for the Universities.

Google “Raj Darbhanga” and you will come to know.

“Mathematics”

AryaBhatta: founder of ‘0’ , trigonometry formulas, and the 9 planet theory.

Anand Kumar: The living lengend of Mathematics in India. And the gateway to IIT’s. ;) He is also from Bihar.

Varishta Narayan Singh: The Ara Man. And the Greatest of the Mathematician who challenged the Einstein theory of e=mc(sq) and proved.

Of Course ! when you are talking about Bihar how can you keep away the politics?

Bihari’s are the most obsessed people with politics. No one in the entire country comes closer to a Bihari when it comes to the inclination towards the Politics and the civil services.

Bihari’s have always been a One Man Army in politics.

Eg: Jay Prakash Narayan who single handedly brought emergency situation in the country to out throw Indra Gandhi from the chair in 1975.

Lalu Prasad Yadav: Although you cannot call him great because he and his family is a curse on not only Bihar but the entire Indian political system. The Image you think of Bihar is due to this illiterate and filthy Bastard. But stilll he is a Bad Ass Bihar has ever produced.

Nitish Kumar: The current CM and the most moody politician in the state who can change the league anytime depending on his political benefit. But yes he is a political genius and has transformed Bihar from Bimaru state into the developing state.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad: The very First President of India. And the Longest termed president. He was president till he died.

Now Lets talk something from Glamour world:

Naatarwal: Although he was not at all artist or actor but he was very smart indeed and one is still able to compete him for his undisputed title of being a “King of Con Man”. To name few things he was responsible for selling Indian Parliament, The Taj Mahal, Red fort, President house of India to his stupid customers who really did think that they can buy President house of any country ( how silly) rofl…

His real name was Mithlesh Kumar Srivastava. Google it now!

Shushant Singh Rajput: The Actor was born and brought up in Patna the capital city of Bihar before his family moved to New Delhi.

Sonakshi Sinha and Family: The Daughter of Actor-Politician shatrughan Sinha was born and brought up in Patna.

Manoj Bajpayee: well known for his roles. Needs no introductions.

Prakash Jha: The most national award winning director in the Indian Cinema.

Ustad Bismillah Khan: the famous shehnai player born in dumraon bihar.

Arunabh Kumar: CEO and Founder of the “The Viral Fever Media” (Muzaffarpur,Bihar)

Neha Sharma: Bollywood Actress, Bhagalpur, Bihar

Neetu Chandra: Bollywood Actress, Patna.

Nitin Chandra: Director, writer, producer, Patna. (Neetu’s Brother).

Imtiaz Ali: Bollywood Director, Patna.

Udit Narayan: Singer.

Daler singh mehndi: Hindi & Punjabi Songs Singer, patna

Mika Singh (Amrik Singh): Hindi and Punjabi sings singer, Patna.

The Mountain Man “Dasrath Manjhi”: The man who cut down a mountain to make a road through it. It took him 22 years (damn!) to do it!

Mahendra singh Dhoni: I am sorry to the viewers of this answer who hail from Jharkhand. But Unfortunately Mahendra Singh dhoni was established as a player when Both the states were one i.e. Bihar. He only debuted as a Indian cricketer when Jharkhand was formed. Before that he only represented Bihar Cricket Team. So we take this credit of giving Dhoni to India!! Gotcha!

;) :P

There is one popular phrase for Bihari People which very well defines our hardworking, intellectual and mind blowing capabilities.

“Jo Kate na Aari se , Jo kate na Aari se, wo kate hai Bihari se”

(Bihari’s can even cut those whom even axes/saw’s can’t) .
