Village and Metropolis (City) lives are very distinct lifestyles and cultures, and these distinctions make them unique and beautiful. So if you want to know my preferred choice and why, stick around.

Which lifestyle do you prefer, A Metropolis or A Village? And Why?

Being someone who hates crowds and noise, my preferred lifestyle is that of a village. Yes, I know that look, We all love the city for its fancy gifts and believe the village is made for the poor, dumpsters, and low lives, but trust me that's not true.

If the village is that bad of a place, why do people living in the cities go to the village to take a break from the polluted and harmful urban environment during their holidays?

Civilization is cut across most nations, hence most villages right now have roads, health centers, electricity, and a lot of natural gifts even though they are not as developed as the city.

A village lifestyle is a straightforward lifestyle, while a City lifestyle offers different complicated characteristics. Yes, a village is significantly lower than a city in virtually all aspects, but then the village also has its good aspects.

A village mostly seen as a smaller settlement motivates primary relations to exist between people (the type of relations made directly). This means people living in a village get to know each other not just by their names but also by their faces as they interact directly.

Share some good side and challenging sides of your choice

SOME GOOD SIDES OF LIVING IN THE VILLAGE

Just like the city, the village also comes with a good side coupled with the few listed above, Below is more to add to it.

  • Living in the village takes you closer to the natural source of food, hence allowing you to eat fresh foods directly from the farmland or water bodies which is not always so in the city reckoned with processed foods.

  • Villages are usually freeways as there are no traffic congestions unlike the metropolises, vehicles move freely without any difficulty and also, congestion in accommodation is practically not noticeable.

  • People living in the village always support each other, especially during difficult times they know each other on an everyday basis.

  • There is no or little pollution and industrial waste as there are no industries, and the fewer automobiles in villages means air pollution is lower, therefore, offering a purer air, cleaner and greener environment.

SOME CHALLENGES OF LIVING IN A VILLAGE

A village being a less occupied settlement with little or no industrialization comes with its challenges such as;

  • Unavailability of jobs, hence, people in the village move to the city in search of white-collar jobs and greener pastures.

  • Yes, there could be health centers and hospitals, however, these places may lack well-equipped facilities and well-trained personnel to offer quality services.

  • Lack of Basic infrastructures such as higher institutions, and good roads, are other challenges those in the village are most likely to experience.

Do you think lifestyle and environment often influence thought processes? Describe

Man is said to be a product of his immediate environment, hence I believe the environment and lifestyle play a role in the choices and thoughts of anyone. The environment we find ourselves in affects our thoughts and lifestyle in many ways.

The environment can facilitate or discourage interactions among people as I've mentioned earlier about the city and village. Most people in the city go about their businesses in a hurry, with no time to interact with one another cause it's a big area.

The environment has the power to influence people's conduct and rationale to act. We tend to live by what we see people do around us, It is evident even in our homes where if we wash dishes immediately after eating our ones learn it as a culture growing up and vice versa.

The environment we find ourselves also has the power to influence our mood. So yes, I believe our lifestyle and environment influence our thought processes.

I must say we share the same thoughts on the view of village lifestyle its for me the best, the unity, hospitality, love and togetherness we get from village is of another level.

While i agree people from cities come to villages to take break and rest shows the calmness that comed with being in the village thanks for sharing your thoughts here.

I appreciate your love and support. Indeed the village is the nature belt of life.

Greetings friend,
Like you, I love the rural lifestyle. You have explained very well what advantages we can get in rural lifestyle. In addition to this you have also mentioned how many challenging aspects of rural life are actually real in many cases.

Thank you very much for your great publication. I appreciate your feedback and wish you the best in the competition. Success.

Thank you for this wonderful words. I prefer the rural environment for its nature friendliness whereas the urban areas crowded.

This is a nice entry. The village remain the best and safest environment for life if not people would have not desired to go there on vacation. Great!

It's a best place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Besides, home is always home. Thank you.
