Incredible India monthly contest March #02|My unforgettable incident of 2022

Hello, @meraindia. This site offers several contests every week for us to participate in. Among them, the contest organized by Incredible India is special to me. That is why I made the decision to enter this contest. There have been many memorable events in our lives that we might discuss. When I think of 2022, I believe it is accurate to say that it was the most tragic event I have ever experienced. Let's now talk about the topic of my unforgettable incident in the year 2022.

At my mother's house, alms were being given to monks around the middle of January 2022. Everyone had eaten their lunch by the time the monks left. As it was a Sunday, I want to leave the place quickly, as my son had to go to work the following morning.

Before we go, we all want to help our mother to clean the house. I decided to help my mother by washing the dirty plates. With that in my mind, I removed my wristwatch and went inside to place it in my handbag. On my mother's almirah was where my hang bag was. I tried to pick it up but was unsuccessful because it had left a tiny bit behind. I couldn't reach the handbag since I wasn't tall enough, so I tried to obtain it by putting one of my feet on the bed's headboard closer to the almirah. My other leg was freely hanging. But while I getting down with the handbag, my leg slipped and fell down. I had little chance of catching somewhere while holding my handbag in one hand and wristwatch in another hand. I immediately fell to the ground and hit my head on the ground. I remembered how hard my head impacted the ground when I dropped from six feet up. Everyone came running to me when they heard me fall, and I was immediately taken to the hospital. The only problem I was experiencing at the time was the weight of my neck against my head. After I underwent all the required examinations, including x-rays, they sent me home.

However, at night, when I turned my head to the opposite side, I felt dizzy and vomited. The following day, I was once more admitted to the hospital. Meniere's disease, an inner ear disorder, caused me to experience nausea, vomiting, and vertigo after hitting my head on the floor. In any case, I had to wear a cervical collar for more than a month before I completely recovered from the illness. Even doctors are amazed at how I was able to avoid suffering spinal damage.

Even today I suffer from this ear unbalance illness, from time to time and suffer dizziness and vomiting. In the year 2022, this was an incident that I will never forget.

I should have been more careful at that moment. Everything happened to me as a result of my carelessness and haste. That was a very important lesson I learned.

Dear friends, I request you to give great care, when performing any task, especially when climbing to such a height. Additionally, remember to keep even one hand free in case you need to grab something at the location. The most important thing is always to give your attention to what you do.
