Steem engagement challenge-S12/W3|My first experience of receiving an ample vote on steemit.

Many people go to school to acquire knowledge on various subjects relating to our existence same as steemit is that platform with so many things to learn through direct and indirect means. To me steemit is like a school which pushes you to learn everyday hence improving ones personal development. Steemit present these knowledge acquisition through contests and other documents which we read and learn from what's happening and many times we do the things ourselves and learn. Steemit indeed is a school on its own.

Share your first experience of getting an ample vote on steemit(can share post link- optional).

I joined steemit 3 years ago and back then to me it was fun posting on the blog. I was introduced with a notion of earning votes through quality content creation but when I joined I was taken over by the fun in posting. I can clearly recall the votes weren't coming that much and for me it range from $0-$11 per post but I still kept on. I didn't bother about the votes though and so kept on making quality posts and engaging with other on the blog until I started getting the attention of curators and the big votes. My first big vote

How were your feelings after getting your first ample support?

An ample vote? Hhhmmm... To get the attention of the big curators SC01 and SC02 was magic and we didn't really have then visiting our post but when they do the impact is felt. After posting for some months and having votes below $12, I was shocked one day on checking my blog to see a vote of $19 from SC01. I was overwhelmed with what I saw and this gave me a push from inside to continue making quality posts and that's how I kept the big visiting my blog every week and sometimes two times a week. I joined steemit on 04/09/2020 after being introduced by my brother @njiatanga who drilled about what steemit was all about and how I could cease opportunities, meet new people and earn rewards from posting. This period was the heart of the COVID19 pandemic with the chaos around the world, me losing my job and a means to travel abroad, I needed something to keep me busy and active. With this sweet story I joined and started the journey meeting people like @ngoenyi, @benton13, @mrbull, @saxopedia and many others. They say the beginning is always tough and so it was when I joined so I had to learn so many things from the platform and out of the platform so enable me make quality posts. I can recall how I would stay up till 2:00am making posts and engaging with others and sometimes I would read and laugh out alone causing my family to think I was mad.

On this journey I have made friends like @eberechi12, @xkool, @goodybest, @iamlynxie and many others. I have learned so many things on the platform and I got so much inspiration from lady @ngoenyi. She so much inspired me and help me in so many ways up the ladder. Many times when I face challenges I would turn to her and I will always get a solution from her. This kept me posting consistently until I had the break of one year.

I didn't really have challenges on the platform which disturbed from making post except my external activities like school, work and health challenges which limited my activities on steemit for some time.
Steemit has been that place for me to relax my brain and have fun. I could be found browsing all day just going through posts while learning and having fun. The platform made me distant myself from noisy environment and concentrate on many things which is really good for me. My friend became steemit.

Before joining steemit I didn't know anything about cryptocurrency, in fact I have never heard of it and didn't take interest in it. While on steemit I have learned so many things about cryptocurrencies, mining and others. I have learned other food recipes, culture and traditions of different countries. Hence I can easily adapt if I visit any country. In fact I have a library of things I have learned from steemit

Share a few suggestions required to follow, and some need to avoid here.

Steemit is not a bed of roses where one just enjoys without working anything and so in order to succeed on steemit you can do the following;

• Make sure to post quality, I mean quality posts always

• Avoid plagiarism of any sort in order not to get on trouble

• Be patient, consistent, polite and avoid hate speech

• Do personal learning to improve yourself on the platform

• Just be yourself and never compare with anyone.

• Cease the opportunities and make the money. Don't wait for it to come meet you, explore and utilise the opportunities presented to you

• On steemit hardwork is the key. There is no food for a lazy man

CONCLUSION

Steemit is indeed a wonderful place that each day I think of the benefits it has to offer I can't just let go reason why I am back with full speed. If we want to ensure growth in our lives then we must learn or impact ourselves which steemit is offering that free of charge. All you need is your internet connection. Let's keep on enjoying what steemit has to offer us.
