Hi pals, it's nice reading and knowing the topic for the week is about this geet platform steemit. This is one singular platform my affinity for is a daily and ongoing concern. Our experiences are definitely going to be different because of our diverse ways of writing, engagements, and roles we play either as Reps or Curators.

Share your first experience of getting an ample vote on steemit(can share post link- optional).

My joining the platform was from a doubt part of view because I was yet to believe that there's a media platform that allows people to earn when they blog. It sounded weird initially not until I made my first achievement post and earned the little liquid steem token that came from publishing my article.

It seemed so right and my doubts quickly fizzled out into the thin air. As I continued to make my publications in other achievement posts,
I earned the commensurate upvotes from the community account and was really contented with the all irrespective of the size of upvotes received.

I took another bold step to make some entries in an open contest from the team where a new project in the crypto space was written about with diverse contributions to make its hype go wild and far. I remembered the topic which was "Spotlight on Huobi Challenge" and I wrote on the "Huobi Pro App".

I made my entry after going through the App and gained some self-experience on how to navigate and use it. My publication received the first ample vote from the team. I received about $19 from SC01 for my participation.

How were your feelings after getting your first ample support?

That was the first experience and contact I had with SC01 which I had anticipated after hearing of the greater role it plays in the platform. Also, that was my response to that comment from him below. 👇

This says it all as it is always the beginning of more things. It encourages at that level to do more and bring out one's best. It is natural for every user to be motivated when encouraged in this kind.

When I got motivated, I doubled my action to make more quality publications bearing in mind those standard rules that the team always looks out for to support.

Share your steemit journey and experience; Along with challenges you faced being a Steemian.

My journey in the steemit platform started sometime 3 years ago. On the 4th of November 2020 when we must have faced the hurdles of the pandemic, I joined the steemit platform a day after my birthday when I went to pick up some phone accessories from my friend's shop.

The son happens to be a steemian already, so she gave me the fliers so that I can check this out and know how it works. I went through it and created an account for myself but was mentored by the son who happened to be grounded already. Unfortunately, he's no longer active on the platform. I hope he comes back as he's presently dealing with school stress and engagements.

I had a smooth start having been mentored by him and the knowledge from the newcomers community as I participated in the various achievement tasks. My participation here (newcomers community) gave me so much base to handle other community postings. At that time, user participation in the platform was seen as lower than what we have now. Receiving support was quite easier unlike what is obtainable now.

One thing is obvious about an author who doesn't get support, the motivation is always hampered. It only takes consistency for non-support authors to continue on the path of publication. This was my strategy all along though it was challenging to function maximally. Receiving booming support recently was like succor not just to me but to most authors who hardly receive support.

Building a support base that would encourage not just me but others in the community is one that has been challenging. As a co-founder of the country's community, participants have to be supported as a way of encouraging them without favoritism. I think the system has to do more in the same regard without any form of support being skewed.

Share a few suggestions required to follow, and some need to avoid here.

My advice here would be basic on the requirements of the team to receive unguaranteed support. There are specific stipulated guidelines that the team always looks out for for any author or community to receive support and those are my advice to anyone.

  • Supporting Burnsteem25 Project:

Following ongoing projects as floated by the team is a way to go. This gives them the impression that you are also on course with them my way of supporting them your little way. We can see the current price of steem with possible solutions by reducing supply in circulation. #Burnsteem25 project is a way of destroying some amount of steem in circulation which hence brings about some little changes in supply to demand.

This is another path the steem has found dearing to. As users, we just have to better our influence in the system by powering up or saving more. It is to our own advantage that we power up more steem tokens to earn influence while curating. Either of the club statuses like club5050, club75, or club100

  • Avoiding Plagiarism

The essence of quality cannot be over-emphasized and this isn't negotiable. Bloggers on the platform should uphold this very item and stay away from it. This does not portray seriousness in users you indulge in it. Consciously, we have to avoid it.

  • Using AI for content generation

We do not need to use this tool for our content. Users who indulge in them are likely to be unmasked and support lost. Steemit platform anchors on the Proof of Brain (PoB) and AI-generated content runs contrary to this ideology. Users who also stay away from them are likely to receive support.

  • No need to Ask for Support

I can understand the urge to go down this lane when one isn't supported but it is quite unethical. We have to stay consistent in our posting and engage in contests or engagements for more visibility.

Yeah I can remember when you joined steemit, it was a tough ground with a lot of struggles and hustles with articles. But we enjoyed the platform as things got better.

One thing is obvious about an author who doesn't get support, the motivation is always hampered.

I understand that as I know many people who are not active now because they complained of not receiving votes even when they make quality posts
It is really discouraging. Nevertheless we keep moving

Vote or no vote let's continue. Thanks for sharing with us and good luck in the contest

Thank you, friend. All those good old days. We mostly have to deal with forging ahead despite the low support. Good that I'm still here...Thanks for coming around.

Yeah those years were indeed good and I wish to have more. You know I am always here.

Sure
