What is the function of water in life?
I would be difficult to fit the answer into this short challange cum essay. Water has endless functions for every living being on earth, be it Humans, animals, plants or any other specie.
Picture is here to show how pure the water is when it flows near it's source
Both Humans and animals need water for the very survival. We need water to drink, cook, clean, and perform many other daily activities. In short water is inseparable from living being. Studies say, the human body is made up of approximately 60% water, and we need water regularly to maintain our health and hygiene.
Water is essential for healthy ecosystem. It helps to support plant growth, which in turn provides food and shelter to many Humans & animals.
Water is also essential for agriculture: farmers use water to grow crops and raise livestock.
Without water, many communities and communities wouldn't have enough food to eat.India is said to be the world's milk, jute and pulses producer. It is second largest producer of rice, wheat, fruit, vegetables, sugarcane and groundnut. without water India or any other country for that matter wouldn't have been able to produce the crops that help their economy.
Energy production is another function of the water. Kashmir, for example, is home to several power projects that generate electricity for many parts of India. It is the water that is utalised to produce energy in hydroelectric power plants.

How do we describe the value of a drop of water?
It would be very difficult to answer this question. Water has immense value. I recently saw Jimmy McGill a protagonist in the show "Better Call Saul" doing everything he could have to generate a drop of water. He is eventually seen surviving on his own pee. It isn't true for TV shows only, one cannot live without water for 2-5 days. No water means no life.
India and Pakistan has fought wars over water dispute. The water dispute between two countries dates back to the year 1948 which was eventually resolved by World-Bank facilitated Indus Water Treaty in 1960. It speaks how important water is for every country.

How is the availability of clean water in your area?
Our area is circled by two dry water streams. Some 15 years before I recount seeing little muddy water running down these streams but today there is an abject dryness. With these streams turned dry, our hilly area would essentially fall under the category of dry-area. There are no other water sources.
We depend on underground aquifers and tap water that flows from Gulmarg glaciers. Some of the adjacent villages face acute water crises but if I specifically talk about my village we have regular inflow of water, not to speak of occasional outings that trigger slight crisis.
At item 3 I have raised the grievance of filtration plant with Block Development authorities in 2020
The tap water flowing from Gulmarg is very clean and safe for drinking but in rainy days it turns turbid and muddy. One wonders how such a pure water gets dirty on the way. It may still not be dangerous as it flows from the snowy hills of Gulmarg but it's loses its sheen. Thankfully, we don't have to drink the water mixed with industrial discharges. Our water flows from the snowy peaks.
For the rainy days there should have been filtration plant that our area sans, unfortunately . I have many a times personally taken up the matter with administration and local representatives but the purification-plant is still a dream. Access to pure drinking water is a inviolable right as per the Indian laws.
At the end I humbly invite @zeewanee @aamir07 and @nainaztengra to partake in this engagement challange
